Good morning Mark, I did find LPL barbershop soap and aftershave splash on The Murphy and McNeil used market place. I picked it up and should see it on Monday, can’t wait to give this one a go

The Viking’s Blade Razors are nuts. The ragnarr/crusader adjustable just so easy to use, and even if you accidentally set it at 9, it won’t filet you. I do use Darby Premium blades, (black) and usually done by 2nd pass. You did a review on the vulcan, and the Long handle is heaven sent and just perfect for traveling. Three passes just so I’m not wasting the foam 😬

Hey Mark. Something to point out is the adjustment on the Viking adjustable can be done with the razor head closed and the Gillette adjustable is done with the head open. I remember my dad telling me this to me, it’s just part of the shave. Look forward to the PAA blades. Thanks for your evaluation of the soap. Enjoy your day and stay safe.

John, thank you for pointing this out. Absolutely correct and something anyone shaving with a Gillette Slim or Fatboy adjustable should be aware of. :) It's a different animal when it comes to adjusting it during the shave. Gillettte adjustable, head open. Vikings Blade, head can remain closed.

from le Père Lucien I have : M red à l' huile essentiele de cade , oud neroli, cédre patchouli and cyprès boisé, all fantastic scents, also the french soaps from Pré de Provence and l'occitane are great

I only swirl my orange scent of Le Pere Lucien soap for a few seconds and I got enough for mixing it into my mug

imagen soap made by people from France , like Cyril the creator of LPL, these guys are experts in making perfume, wine and cheese , so what you have to expect are wonderful aromas .

The new Proraso aftershave bottle does not have the colorful label on it. Instead the Proraso name is embossed in the glass. I was disappointed in that because the Proraso label is such a good looking one!

I was watching on youtube how juniper ( enebro , cade ) is made , this is a very hard and time taking job, only a few liters of oil are obtained after cooking so many roots from that small tree , it isn't really a tree its more as a plant, so imagen the quality of the base material of the soaps from LPL, also " oud " is very difficult to obtain.

Hi mark this was used to be my daily driver razor until I tried merkur futur , awesome smooth and efficient razor the only problem I have with is poor gold plated finished that destroyed in less than a month, do you have same experience or any opinions about that ?

I got bad news for you if you dont think your futur plating will not fade.... I dont use mine daily I shave weekly and rotate razors... My gold futur looks great but I can see a little fading of the gold plating exclusively on the cap the rest of the razor looks MINT

Amir, a couple of gold plated razors recently came into the shave den. My experience with gold-plated razors is rather limited, at the moment. I hope to use them and learn a bit more about how robust the gold plating might be. However, your situation begs the question, why is it some vintage gold-plated razors (50, 60, 70 years old) are in rather good shape, but your brand new Futur's gold plating lasted less than a month? Have you contacted Merkur?

@@MarkSzorady mo unfortunately didn’t contact merkur surely won’t be gotten by guarantee lots of consumers have same experience like me maybe Was better to choose chrome version 🙂🤷🏻‍♂️
