23:05 It was pretty messy at the time, yeah. Personally, everything going around about Garam did make me hold back and i really only got into them when they started going heavier with the content like Day off/Leniverse a few months after iirc. This is my one big issue with this series too tbh. It was a great idea to film something like this, but considering how heavily it was edited to erase Garam's existence i really think it shouldn't be called a "Documentary" :/

As I am sad about Garam leaving as well, and I love her voice, this series is still very much a documentary though. It's about the lives, history and struggles of the other 5 members documented in a video.

@@Ash081284 I do agree that's what the intention was and i am glad we got their stories from it ^^ I just felt like the amount of editing that went into it shifts it from portraying actual reality (of LSF as a whole at debut) and makes it kinda too dishonest to be a proper documentary...

@@clicklesly11 well, considering their situation that time, it's understandable. Garam also probably requested not to be included, we won't really know, plus the fact that since she's technically a normal citizen now and not part of the entertainment industry (for now, as she'll probably pursue acting) and of HYBE, they can't use her image as it will be considered as promotions and that she will have to be paid for that and the use of her image, or her "brand", so to speak. So it's more of legal and technical matters than just simply deleting her parts because of the issue. And we also cannot deny the possibility that maybe she doesn't want to be included in the videos, and one reason is for her mental health, as she was getting so much hate that time. A lot of crazy people would mass comment on all their contents back then demanding she be kicked out or just simply sending hate messages in the comments. And imagine if she sees herself in the documentary, imagine the pain she would feel... "I'm supposed to be still in the group. I'm supposed to still be performing with them up till now... if only... " I mean, how would you feel? Plus the fact that the other 5 members have also worked and sacrificed a lot to get to where they are right now, they probably felt so many things as well during that time, pain, sadness, disappointment, fear, anxiety... And maybe, just maybe, Garam also wants to protect the other members. There's so much technicalities that are happening bts in this documentary. I can also understand the situation since I also did filmmaking and have been in the industry, as well as being in a band, and have also gone through some painful situations, so I feel empathy for the members, especially Garam, as well as the production team too. From time to time, I still listen to Sour Grapes coz I seriously love her voice, especially in that song. There's that certain charm in her voice that I really like. On the more good side, it seems Garam is doing better now and seems to be preparing to go as a fulltime actress and is currently enrolled in a performing arts school. While Le Sserafim has also set their own path, albeit thorny, rocky, but has become very successful also through their very hard work, and will keep on rising more and more. They have a lot more stories to tell and they will also go through so many difficult situations too as time goes by. So yeah, the documentary is still very much authentic. It's still called a documentary. It's like any documentary of any topic. The director or editor don't really put everything they've filmed and all the information in their documentaries, a lot of them were cut in the editing process. It's always like that and it's pretty normal. The only difference is that we know a lot of information that just weren't included in the documentary or had to be reedited, and in this case, Garam's situation. And they decided not to include it because of many reasons, some of them mentioned above. The production had to do what they can. But it still doesn't take away from the fact that the series is documenting the lives and struggles of the 5 members of Le Sserafim, technically, factually and up till now. Their lives as they went through all that are authentic as well, so it'll be disrespectful if we say that this isn't authentic because of the non-inclusion of a former member while setting aside the importance of the stories of the remaining members. But I do understand what you mean. And I also feel sad sometimes remembering it, and I really hope people would stop judging people because of their pasts, because we all grow and try to become much better than before. People can change. It's really sad that a lot of people can't understand that. People that judge too much or try to ruin other people's lives should look at themselves first before pointing at others. But then again, they most likely wouldn't, coz if they did, they would've stopped being judgmental or being toxic Anyway, this became too long haha Either way, this documentary also gives a bittersweet feeling. Happy for the 5 members and that they've overcome so many trials these past 2 yrs, sad for the 1 gone (but soon won't be because Garam's making a new path for her future and if we're still fans, will be happy for her) Hope you'll have a nice day!
