If you want to see a video that compares tension in kpop dancers and includes an example of le sserafim, click on "Kpop Dance Analysis: Tension" in the video! Compared to most groups the gaps in skill are relatively small so it was difficult to decide a ranking for this - I think they all did a good job here
@@rakshitasingh6574yes like every time i watch their performances I'm amazed by her singing, stage performance, dance, expressions plus she's super cute
I also find chaewon's musicality really interesting during the "easyyyy" jumping part, if you compare chaewon and eunchae for example, chaewon does it a bit faster, which I think looks really cool. but in general I think they all did well
Kazuha is insane to me. Having such an intense training in a very different style, it is unbelievable to me how well she has adapted to choreos that are so groovy in such a short time. It's like writing with your left hand for 20 years, and then writing beautifully with your right in like, 3 days.
Kai adapted to any style after ballet very fast, so it is not that hard as you want it to look. Hip hop isn’t that far from ballet as techno or popping smth like that
@@KKKK-bl4cg I am speaking as a hobby dancer who did 5 years of rhythmic gymnastics as a child, and who still struggles with groovier hip hop moves 20 years later. Like their song says, just because these guys make it look easy, it's not. Unlearning training that consumed your life up to that point is no small feat.
@@KKKK-bl4cg Dancer for 13 years here! if you’re a sole ballet dancer, it’s actually considered extremely hard to transfer over to other styles especially commercial/hip hop/open. Ballet wants you to basically do the exact opposite of other styles. While yes, they both engage your core ballet is known for having your body like a “pole” for lack of a better word for specific balances. Your internal bounce and musicality basically has to be relearned as well among other things. Look at Kazuha when they first debuted, you could see how stiff and unnatural some of the moves felt to her especially when body rolls were involved. Kai isn’t a good comparison because Kazuha had only like 3 months of training compared to years. The learning experience was very different.
@@EverythingxYourexNot you were gymnast, not a ballet dancer and Kazuha improved in 2 years, not in 3 days. I understand that you didn’t mean it that straight way, but still Kazuha joined Hybe in like 2022 and it is almost 2024, she had 2 years to improve. Idk why is that considered fast for a K-pop idol while all they do is train, eat, perform, again train etc. You are exaggerating
Me too! She’s indeed powerful & energetic but Idk why, I often feel the awkwardness in Yunjin’s dance.. Maybe she needs to be more relax to execute her moves ~
I couldn’t agree more with the ‘ relaxed execution which match the vibes’ comment because I always find that Chaewon knows the essence of the songs they are dancing to and she execute based on them. It’s not just about flexibility or clean lines or power sometimes. She is relaxed or swag or powerful depending on the songs. I love that about her.
@@KanakBhutadaI don't think she mentioned (even indirectly) kazuha at all. Chaewon can shine without being a threat to Kazuha and vice versa. A compliment for Chaewon isn't an insult to the rest of the girls, and a compliment for Kazuha isn't an insult to the others.
@KanakBhutada you kazuha fans surely don't like when people don't mentioned kazuha or praise her right? That's why easily gets offended unnecessarily for no reasons when people praise chaewon's dancing n not kazuha as if praising chaewon is naturally an insult to kazuha.
Agreed!! Chaewon really caught my eye this comeback because, as you stated, she exudes the essence of the song. For most of the group, it seemed like they were trying to make it look easy (even tho it’s definitely not) but Chaewon actually looks like it’s easy for her and like she’s not trying to be cool, she just is cool. Perfect fit for the song!
For me personally as a former dancer - Chaewon, Kazuha, Eunchae, Yunjin, Sakura. Which was surprising because usually I like Yunjins dance but I felt like she wasn’t as good with Easy.
it seems like le sserafim is one of the groups that are a bit closer in skill level when it comes to dance. would you consider doing a full ranking for them? love them and see so many ppl have a variety of opinions on them
i was wondering if you would make a short ranking them. im so glad you did! chaewon always catches my eye when dancing, she can adapt to any genre. i think she might be the best dancer in the group
She nailed it in nearly every song for real. I can watch her dance in antifragile/unforgiven etc all day. It’s crazy how she matches the vibe of the song with ease. Even her facial expressions are relaxed and fun. Also when it’s not her part. A lot of idols just focus on their part and are face dead on their member parts
I think Eunchae dances better than yunjin here. Yunjin has power and strength but she has little control of her arms and legs. I think Eunchae has cleaner moves and more groove.
Yup, technical wise I think Yunjin is actually who lacks the most. However, she's generally the eyecatching member when it comes to perform live because of her great stage pressence. But all of them are amazing though, it's difficult to focus on just one.
i though Eunchae was the weakest one, like the video suggested. This was definitely not Yunjins best performance but I still think her stage presence makes up for it. Eunchae I felt just looked stiff and dare I say, lanky?
@@tomasleon3148 i agree, I also thought Yunjin's dancing is the most awkward looking, it's too stiff and some of her movements look off from the rest of the members. Eunchae's execution of dancing is the most similar to chaewon, light movement with a relaxed vibe when dancing, the rest of them are too stiff tbh.
Ironically, Kazuha's "i rip it up" part caught my eye the most. I really liked how she _snapped_ up, her charm was so intense that I didn't even consider to pay attention to the details!
I agree with u 100%..I think thats why she still in second place (?) because the critics is just that it can be more refined which probably has other meaning : its already satisfying anyway but imagine if there’s garnish on top of your delicious dish👍🏻
Its all about Musicality which Chaewon and Kazuha have always had it hence both of them nailed the choreo. Not just the chorus but the entire song. Kazuha's improvement in open style needs to be studied.
kazuha being a ballet dancer before this is insane because it’s such a technical dance style and this is a lot more groovy. amazing to see how much she’s improved in such little time
I love sakura's execution the most. She dances with ease and she's so light in her feet. She has the most grasp of groove, making this choreo look 'easy'. Both her and Chaewom for me
kazuha really amazes me since she became from a classical dance background and it's adapting very well to the strength and groove that hip-hop has proud of her ❤
What's even more interesting is if you pay attention to placement, Chaewon and Kazuha are the two doing the most traveling during this portion of the song. So not only are they the ones hitting the choreo the smoothest, they're doing it while moving across the stage. Bigger jumps and wider steps to compensate. Harder footwork and they really do make it look easy.
Ohh thank you! I was hoping you'd do a who danced it better for the garage video too. That one blew me away, the choreo was so good and they executed it so well, Chaewon and then Kazuha were sooo good or at least they looked mind-blowing to me, a non professional. I was floored at kazuha's improvement. I knew Chaewon was the best dancer already but Kazuha improved so much in a couple months, even up to unforgiven I thought she was a bit stiff and here she just grooved so well to the hip hop leaning choreo. She easily was the second best and it wasn't close imo. I didn't think she'd improve so much in a couple months.
Finally someone who doesn't only care about the power (i mean all of them powerful) and how hard they dance. This choreography needs chill movements and you rank them abt that. I just only wanted to say that i totally agree with you. +Chaewon my bias i love you❤❤
I don’t know any of them, they were in my TL, based on this clip: Sakura (best in moves), Chaewon (makes it look easy) and Kazuha (sharp moves). All of them are skilled but those three caught my attention based on the topic
I was a competitive dancer for 15 years and taught. I thought the same things too. The movement's they do at "pull up, and ill rip it off my body" need to be more fluid and flexible. They need to do more of a sideways body roll instead of staying stiff like a board and snspping upright. I also notice that with the move they do when they are supposed to squat slightly and hump their pelvis forward a couple of times( i hope you know what i am referring too). They keep their upper body too stiff during this part and and their upper body ends up moving back and forth with their hips instead of staying still and just isolating the hips.
its amazing how I could see the difference as the members switched. these videos are so helpful to see which members you should learn the dances from because they show more detail! i still have a lot to learn as a self taught dancer but these videos give me a lot of hope and inspiration to get better like these idols ❤
i’ve seen people say they’re a dance focused group and i can see their choreos are definitely difficult but i feel like only 2 of the members really execute it well?
obviously not all members will suit a specific concept, for example yunjin is graded 3rd here but she mainly shines with vogues, as for sakura she's more open style and pretty much not ranked higher to any dance style but also not the lowest in any dance style, she's best at locks, chaewon has that hiphoppy fitting dance style, kazuha is more on flexibility type of dances since she was a former pro ballerina, while Eunchae is their kpop dancing kid.
I think still chaewon, if you will see chaewon shes more relaxed and her part really came off very naturally, groovy during the pull up etc., meanwhile Eunchae tho her moves were extended looks a bit tensed. Im a sakura bias so this is an objective point of view
I would put Eunchae 3rd, her experience with hip hop dancing really shines here cause she's the grooviest dancer in the group which I think suites this choreography the most
