i'm concerned of the survivors, but this films includes a lot of death. A great masterpiece that reflects the risks of great adventures.

Unusually for a Melies film he had a female comic relief, who was cute. Looking at the girls (Fernande Albany) film history, she was actually 14 when this was made, & listed as her debut. Seems Melies liked her as she seemed to be listed for many later films of his. Film is like an extended version of 'Trip to the Moon'.

I ask you, why can't the make pictures like this now-a-days?
