When Tilly's Uncle Flirted (1911) 

British silent comedy film of 1911. The Danish title "De Pokkers Tøse" seems to translate as "Those Damn Girls", aptly enough for the antics of Tilly and Sally in this Hepworth picture from the "Tilly the Tomboy" series.

This may be the only surviving print and is believed to be held by the Norwegian Film Institute, with Danish intertitles. The particularly low quality transfer here comes from a videotape made from a Steenbeck or similar on a VHS camera. The upload from a DVD dub has been sped up substantially to better approximate probable projection speeds of the silent era, but the image is otherwise left without any attempts at improvement. Unfortunately the film was running with a great deal of jitter, variations in speed, the framing out of rack at times, and the camera copy also catches the technician's silhouette while making adjustments. It's the only copy online until a modern scan is made from the source material. The upload is mute.
The ornamentation around the Danish title card matches what is seen on the Hepwix branded English titles on "Tilly the Tomboy Visits The Poor", so perhaps the titles were made prior to export. "Tilly the Tomboy Visits the Poor" has been posted by the BFI at:
