@@NicholasGur So true. But we have to give it to them. They are so smart for using the Philippines and its people for their content. Clearly, pinoy baiting is a thing. Unfortunately, my countrymen are thirsty for global validation. Good job, ladies! You've found your market. 👌
@@mmsat5344 Lea and Rachelle also sang "Movie in my Mind" in one of Rachelle's concerts in the Philippines. That's why I specified that they should react to their duet in the 25th Anniversary of Miss Saigon. It is better than their duet in Rachelle's concert.

Thank you for appreciating our legend Lea Salonga. Her voice never changed and it's nice hearing and seeing her singing that iconic "A Whole New World," again with Brad Kane after 23 years. Tnx anyway!
Listening to this reaction while answering our final exam in Analytical Chemistry. I just can't say no to these girls. ANDD OMG ITS LEA. HOW COULD I NOT WATCH THIS RIGHT AFTER THE NOTIFICATION?
Scott Eric Weinger played Steve Hale, the boyfriend of DJ Tanner in Full House for 50 episodes. He also provided the speaking voice for Aladdin. The singing voice was provided by Brad Kane.
🤣🤣🤣 you both are silly it's cleansing to my soul. Great song reaction and yes this song will stand the test of time. I secretly sing this song in the shower sometimes... wait what!? Any ways... more from you both please you guys are 🔥
Her name is pronounced as "LE-YA SA-LONG-GA" (the "E" is pronounced as E like in E-lephant) I saw one of her interviews where she clearly stated that she hates people mispronouncing her name. Why? Because shes freaking "LEAH SALONGA!" LEGEND. If you cant say her name properly, dont even try. peace y'all.
I remember one of Philippines best singer before, just sharing if you would want to listen her songs. Guaranteed very good, You will be amazed of her, ( Take Five - Verni Varga (live) ) Also this RRM: 'The Vamp' Verni Varga (1991)
WARNING TO ALL NEW VIEWERS: Listening to this singer's voice can give you OBSESSION and SEVERE ADDICTION. Symptoms include: Searching for her other performances and not being satisfied by the day without listening to her voice. I've been personally suffering these symptoms for almost a year now, and I know I'm not the only one. You have been warned! #QueenLeaSalonga-Chien
Anyone wanting to learn more about Lea (not just watching her performances), this is a great video about Lea's life and career from 2018. There are interviews with Lea, her friends, family and colleagues and you do see little snippets of her performances over the years: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UiBX-Fq8GCc.html. But there are also tons of great videos of Lea performing that are worth watching, too!
Her name is pronounced LAY-uh. The announcer said her first name right and botched her last name. You should definitely do more Lea reactions. Just a few faves (and no in particular order): Lea Salonga rehearsing Still Hurting, On My Own from 10th anniversary Dream Cast concert of Les Miserables, Lea Salonga and Rachelle Ann Go Movie In My Mind at Miss Saigon 25th anniversary (they sing this song together at other concerts, but I think this is the best), Lea and Brad Kane We Could Be In Love official video, and "Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman: The Last Night of the World (1990)." I put the last one in quotes because there are several vids of them singing this duet from Miss Saigon, but this is my favorite. Lots of history on Lea below that might be helpful to know but it's by no means complete, so doing your own research would be good! Lea was born Feb 22, 1971. She was 7 when she did her first professional show (playing a child in The King and I) and was 9 when she played her first lead (Annie). She recorded her first album at age 9 which I think was released when she was 10 and went gold. She had her own musical TV show called "Love, Lea" from ages 12-14 (she got to sing with various guests). She opened for big acts when they came to the Philippines like Stevie Wonder and Menudo. (If you don't know who Menudo was, they were a Latino boy band that was especially huge in the 80s.) She was 17 when she auditioned for Miss Saigon, 18 when she started the show in London, 19 when she won the Olivier Award, 20 when she started Miss Saigon on Broadway, and 21 when she won the Tony Award (first Asian actress to win). Lea had led a very sheltered life before Miss Saigon and had never had a boyfriend or kissed anyone. Her leading man (Simon Bowman) assured Lea and her mother that he would take care of her and not take advantage. Singing voice of Jasmine in 1992, first non-white Eponine in Broadway's Les Miserables in 1993, asked to be Eponine in the Les Miserables 10th anniversary Dream Cast concert in 1995, and played Eponine in London in 1996. Singing voice of Mulan in 1998. Lea went back to the Broadway Miss Saigon for about 5 months in 1999 and then returned to the show again right before it closed in Jan 2001 (right before she turned 30). Interesting trivia: Lea was on the soap opera "As The World Turns" for several months in 2001 playing the role of Lien Hughes which had been originated by Ming-Na Wen (the speaking voice of Mulan) back in 1988. So that is two roles that the women have shared! Lea went into the Broadway revival of Les Miserables as Fantine in 2007 and played Fantine in the Les Miserables 25th anniversary concert in 2010. (She is one of very few people that took part in both anniversary concerts.) Lea has been a judge on The Voice Philippines (along with their Kids and Teen versions) since 2013. She has many, many other credits (stage, screen, recordings), but I'd say these are some of the highlights.
Please also check out Lea Salonga and Gary Valenciano singing The Prayer, they did it a capella and it was amazing 😊💖 BTW,..Love your reactions💖 silent viewer here 🙋

Lea is turning 50 this year! But her voice never fade as she aged. Legend! She just released a new single “Dream Again” . Would love if you can check it out and react on it 😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8nnzoiLHSOE.html
