Well, she is LEA SALONGA. The voice of Reflection in Mulan and A Whole New World in Aladdin. A Tony-Award winner, she hit a significant mark when she portrayed Kim in Miss Saigon.

Your comment about her timing is so spot on! She's amazing at pitch recognition and a master at working with a full orchestra. She doesn't even wear an earpiece (especially in concert halls like this with amazing sound engineering) because she said she doesn't have to worry about bad sound feedbacks. Her ears are as sharp as can be.

She is indeed the ORIGINAL Jasmine, and she is the one who put Morissette's name down for Alan Menken when he was looking for a Jasmine for the 2020 A Whole New World. (Philippines version)And..she got it.

Hi thanks for reacting to Lea Salonga; she's the first Filipina to be awarded a Tony and a Lawrence Olivier for her Broadway performance in Miss Saigon...can you also react to Regine Velasquez' rendition of A Piece of Sky... Regine- is Asia's Songbird and much respected by the likes of Morisette, in Philippine music industry...also try reacting to Gigi de Lana who always sings live with her GG Vibes band..I recommend her cover of Maroon 8's This Love, Brenda Russel's Piano in the Dark, Dianne Reeves' Better Days and Chaka Khan's Through the Fire. Thank you very much for appreciating Filipino talents. They really deserve global exposure and recognition.

Lea salonga and regine Velasquez was my all time female vocalist fave until MORISETTE came… but I still consider them my top 3. Lea salonga is an icon specially in the musical industry, even now. Her version of this song sets the standard for this song!

Some theater geeks consider this the best version of the best Broadway song ever. Lea is the GOAT! Mori considers her an idol along with Regine Veasquez. If you can handle another Broadway tune, check out Regine's cover of "What Kind of Fool Am I". Another tearjerker.

Lea Salonga is so awesome. Our Filipina Disney Princess. She was the singing voice for Mulan's "Reflections" and Aladdin's "A Whole New World". Side note: Morisette and Darren Espanto also have their version of "A Whole New World" when they were chosen by Disney to do Asia's version for the live action movie. You should check that out on the Wish Bus, if you haven't already.

This was the 10th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables in the Royal Albert Hall, with the 'dream cast'. So yes, a big production. Lea later sang as Fantine and performed "I Dreamed a Dream" in the 25th anniversary concert.

Lea used to be a judge on The Voice PH and Morissette was a contestant of that show and in the 1st audition, Lea's chair did not turn for Mori to which Lea later on regretted...she admitted this in an interview.

Always happy to see new people reacting to Lea Salonga, one of my favorite performers of all time. Lea (pronounced LAY-uh, like Princess Leia from Star Wars) was born in 1971, so she was 24 years old here. She started her career in the theater at age 7. She has done theater, film, TV, concerts and albums. Lea originated the role of Kim in MISS SAIGON in London at age 18 and on Broadway at age 20 - and won every major theater award for her portrayal. Lea is the singing voice for 2 Disney princesses - Jasmine ("A Whole New World") and Mulan ("Reflection"). Lea was the first Asian/non-Caucasian to play Eponine in LES MISERABLES on Broadway in 1993 and was asked to play Eponine in the 10th anniversary dream cast concert of LES MIZ in 1995 (the performance you reacted to here). Many people consider Lea's performance here the gold standard for playing Eponine. I could probably write a novel about all her credits and accomplishments. I'll just say that I really hope you check out more of Lea's performances. You'll be blown away.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Lea Salonga ("Lay-uh"). Watch her at age 17-18 originating the role of Kim in Miss Saigon (she won a Tony Award for that--first Filipina to do that). Also, Les Miserables is definitely a musical for non-musical people. It's one of the greatest of all time--my personal fave. The music is just so incredible. I'd watch this 10th anniversary special of the show creators' "dream cast" (performed in 1994) for the most top-notch performances. The recent movie with Hugh Jackman is good too and will give you more context and a better understanding of the storyline.

If u wanna experience HEAVEN for a minute check her videos with Il Divo they sang few songs like The Music of the Night, A whole New World, and Time to say Goodbye. Trust me u won't regret it. Different naman kasi ang theater at stage play sa mga pop, balland, and other contemporary music. Hindi talaga kailangan mag belt sa theater gumagamit sila ng head voice and diaphragm. Pero hindi din bagay ang ganyang voice kung ang mga song mo ay Beyonce, celine Dion, christina Aguillera. Tska may mga song na binabagayan ng mga ganitong klse ng boses mga classic songs. Leah Salonga is a great singer and different lang ang kanilang genre no Morisette. Iba din ang atake ni KZ Tandingan raspy voice mala rock. Marami ang magagaling ang boses depende sa binibigay na kanta sa kanila at ung dapat na ibigay sa kanila. You cannot compare an apple to an orange magkaiba sila at hindi rin pwedeng icompare. Rock music is different sa Ballad and Ballad to Pop and Pop to Classic Music. You can choose whatever song if you dont feel screaming voice just listen to a soft music like Aiza Zeguera and Moira or Nina the best sila jan or if not kay Leah Salonga nga. Maraming pwedeng pagpilian. Just respect what the other singers do or sa craft na ginagawa nila. Kasi sa iba po ay love naman nila ang screaming voice. I think hiindi naman screaming voice maririnig mo kay Mori mataas lang po talaga voice niya at nice naman hindi nga sumisigaw e just like Regine Velasquez na mataas ang boses niya. Kungbsumisigaw siya paano pa kaya si regine velasquez e siya ang reyna.
