As someone who is building one of these at home, videos like this are so helpful to figure out the parts list.

Absolutely and utterly the "'best" potters wheel i have ever owned and used ! brilliant....i shipped my first one by boat to home on Dunk island in mid -late seventies early eighties (Google "'potter Henry Holt sitting at potters wheel Dunk Island"' some photos of me at 17 years old in my mud-brick workshop in paradise) I trained as a production thrower at the Old Ballarat pottery in 1975 and then worked as apprentice at the artist colony "'Dunmoochin" under stoneware craftsman Geoffery Davidson who, as we all did, in those days carry a copy of the Leach "'potters book" under our arm..i have been scouring the internet for second hand leach wheels, as i have started collecting items to start producing raku and stoneware again..i am now 58 years old and i have got the bug again...thank-you Simon..i want one!!! can you ship it to Australia? they are a work of art and for someone with a tall upright frame the most comfortable and organic wheels..

Nice to see you back Simon. The cold days are hard for us potters. The wheels are really nice and wish I could get one. I will one day I hope. Can't wait to see you throwing again. Stay warm and thanks for a great video.

It's cold here in the UK, too. 43 degrees F in my pottery room. I'm looking at that with envy! It's a very nice looking piece of kit. A couple of questions: Can the treadle be fitted on the right if you prefer to operate it with your right foot? When operating it, can you make the wheel turn clockwise if you want to (occasionally I do that with my electric wheel when trimming)? I've often wondered if you centred and opened up the clay with the wheel going clockwise and then did the rest of the work anticlockwise, whether it would counteract the turning that occurs when a pot is fired.
