From someone who’s been watching her since the Disney days, this just makes me so happy! She’s like Big sis to a lot of us. So well deserved!! Go Zendaya!!
Zendaya won her second emmy was the happiest thing today. She really did a great job on being Rue, consuming a big depression for portraiting this role. Especially that scene with Jules, haunted in our hearts for sure….
zendaya poured her life, body, and soul into rue. that's why she thanked the cast and crew for creating a safe space because it was truly difficult. she absolutely deserves this win, i'm so proud of her.
Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. 👍🏾 God is three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him. Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.
When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil. I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God!
@@evthymia I shall not leave you ignorant. We that are Christ's pray with our hands to the heavens 🙌🏽! The world prays like this 🙏🏽. Some Scriptures: Psalms 63:4, 1 Timothy 2:8, Psalms 134:2, Lamentations 3:41, Psalms 141:2, 1 Kings 8:54, Nehemiah 8:6, Psalms 28:2, Psalms 143:6, and 1 Kings 8:22.
I was a Rue. I saw the second season a year into my sobriety and it really helped put into perspective the damage I did to everyone around me. Just sobbed so hard but I really needed to see it. Thank you ❤️
@@AutisticBeaver It's easier to deliver a great performance when the writing is spectacular, but to deliver a great performance with crap material is the mark of a fantastic actor. 😉
So well deserved. She basically WROTE half the show with all the improv she had to do. And I'm glad she finally had this moment IN THE ROOM with her peers instead of through Zoom.
I get what you’re saying… but you absolutely can do just that… if you’re a good writer. My problem is that Sam seems to depend so heavily on the actors providing the dialogue for him rather than giving them a framework of his vision to bounce off of. When watching the show, it’s almost always clear to me which parts/scenes are improvised. And it happens way too much, I feel.
Hey, to each their own! I’m glad it resonates with you. I personally like a little more polish and less stumbling when presenting a narrative, but I understand the want for organicness in storytelling. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy the show and many others that do have improv. It works especially well in comedies. Harder to pull off with something as serious as Euphoria. Good actors can find a way to make written dialogue feel natural, and good writers can write dialogue that comes naturally to their actors :)
@@MC32595 ooh that's a good one! I know they confirmed that many (if not all tbh) of the arguments between Rue and her mom were improvised. I believe the one between Cassie and Nate in his bedroom also. You can usually tell bec the dialogue never seems very focused on anything. Almost like the actors are reaching for something else to say rather than moving the story forward. love the name btw :)
Her appreciation to the "Rues" of the world who shared their stories with her was so touching, and the reason why her performance as Rue is so phenomenal.
Zendaya is a class act. She is beautiful inside and out, and she inspires so many people to fight to be the best version of themselves they can be. This is a very well deserved win. Congratulations to her for making history! ❤👏
That scene with Jules, she said in an interview they had to take 20 minute breaks just to make sure they were both doing okay mentally, she deserved this more than anyone
COVID really robbed her from having this type of experience whilst simultaneously giving her the most intimate and emotional one with her family,I'm glad she experienced the best of both worlds❤ Rue is my favorite character of all time, because for the first time I had empathy towards drug addicts and applied that in real life with the people I grew up with who also have the disease of addiction.
Zendaya is the first Black woman to win the Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series twice, and the youngest two-time winner of any Emmy in history.
Zendaya is incredible for her acting skills. Apart from ‘Euphoria,’ she’s been in quite a handful of thought-provoking films that will serve as a legacy throughout her career. If anything, Zendaya has worked hard through and through to get to where she is now. Acting is tough. Not everybody has the capacity to act well enough to earn rewards in return.
the amount of nervousness and how anxious i was waiting for this announcement, you'd think i was nominated--- im so happy for Zendaya i was literally shaking during this!!!
Zendaya acted her heart out in Euphoria. The police chase, the withdrawals… she had to become really vulnerable and get into character. It was so real. Glad she won the award!
CAN WE SAY BACK TO BACK? Can we say A QUEEN of her generation ? Can we say A TALENT? Zendaya Coleman, Miss, you’ve done it again. We are all immensely proud of you ✊🏾
Queen of her generation? I love her for her fashion but she ain't that good of an actor she literally acts same in everything I've seen her in, I would've said Euphoria is great performance if wouldn't have seen her other stuff. Jodie Comer should've won last year and this years should've been Laura Linney. Jodie should've won for 1 2 and 3 she is the queen of her generation. Fk emmys they didn't even nominated Jodie for 1st season which was one of the best performance of the decade male or female. They gave her emmy in second season realising their mistake and should've gave her again for 3rd as well. Its alright she's coming for Tony and Olivier for her theatre debut in Prima Facie and will come for Oscar for The end we started from. With all due respect fuck emmys.
Zendaya winning for the second time for Euphoria is so well deserved!! Rue is one of the most challenging characters to play and with a extremely dramatic arc and she makes so natural and intense..so young and already making history!! You go girl!! 🖤🖤 P.s: her scene with her mom trying to break the door in season 2..that's when she won!!
Zendaya is the first Black woman to win the Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series twice, and the youngest two-time winner of any Emmy in history.
The minute we saw season 2, episode 5 there was zero doubt that she would win it. They might as well have included an acceptance speech at the conclusion of that episode.
Ever since that scene with the suitcase if pills being missing and flushed down the drain and Rue telling Jules her mind....I just knew -correction we all knew Zendaya would win that Emmy she deserved it...that scene was alot of things but I felt the emotions and every essence from that scene, I felt like I was there . It was captivating, astounding, outstanding and so many words. Congratulations Zendaya Congratulations 🥳💗💟💟💟💟❕❕❕ Thank you for portraying rue and making her story come to life .
SHE WAS AMAZING ESPECIALLY IN SEASON 2. Her portrayal was a love letter to all struggling teens like her character and to the families who have children with addiction. 🤗✨
Zendaya is the first Black woman to win the Emmy Award for lead actress in a drama series twice, and the youngest two-time winner of any Emmy in history.
Now that was 100% well deserved! Such a tough show to make for young actors. Having to make believe what real people go through in life can be very difficult to pull off in these shows but with great writing/direction and of course acting, they totally pulled it off. Well done Zendaya! 👌🏼
@@Blue-ub8ld I'm a tv series version of a cinephile and watched 12/25 Emmy nominated shows this year and she gave the best performance out of all of them Edit : here is the list of shows I watched Barry Better call Saul Succession Abbott Elementary Ted Lasso Euphoria Maid Dopesick Hacks Ozark Atlanta The Dropout

@@hafidbense4934 I watched The Dropout and she wasn't consistent with her accent/deep voice imo and her screaming scene in the last episode left much to be desired,I wanted Margaret to win for Maid but I'm not mad Amanda won. I'm a tv series version of a cinephile and watched 12/25 Emmy nominated shows so I know what I'm talking about Edit: I noticed that I had left out The Dropout in my list and that was only because it was so mediocre I forgot I watched it smh,my bad
@@takeoutthetrash6235 Exactly! We gotta start accepting people as they are. I know a lot of biracial who are messed up because their parents didn’t teach them that they are both or a mixture of races, not just one.
To have seen her grow from the very beginning, from the TTI’s, from the Kidz Bop music videos to Disney Channel to her first major role and now a two-time Emmy winner, is actually surreal. It means so much to the fans like myself who have been documenting her success and progress and never doubted her. We love you Z
She gotta be one of the most deserving actresses to go back to back in this category. The scene at fez’s door last season was so heart breaking and the fight with her mom this season was even worst. 100000% deserved!
How can you not cry when listening to her. There is a Rue in all of us. And a spell that must be broken. Zendaya is magical…and sending her love and hope she has much protection on her journey as an actress
For someone who suffered from drug addiction growing up she was spot on she really hit the mark. Her performance made me cry it was a trigger that how real it felt. She deserved this 💕
Gosh being lined to these amazing actresses is hard but Z definitely deserve winning that award the 2nd time with her spectacular performance in Euphoria S2
She looked so nervous more nervous when she is the most confident person i know she is so great I’m sure deep down she thought “wow I must be so special not just to me to everyone here and I’m so grateful for that”.
Her speech made me cry. This show... there are no words. And Zendaya is a Godess. She put her heart and soul into playing Rue. I watched Euphoria twice, because see... it hits very close to home for me. I am a Rue 😥. A recovering but still very much struggling with this disease every day Rue. I've known and lost many Rues. So I have lived her life, in exactly the same age timeline. The scene with her mother did it for me. I bawled. Thank you Zendaya!!
Rightfully so she got this award, when they were presenting the best actress nominees from drama series I was rooting for Zendeya, I’m not a fan of Euphoria but Zendeya was great as Rue.
Just hearing Zendaya speak and the look of thanks on her face, I see an incredible women with remarkable talent still remain humble and kind among a sea of legends!
I can honestly forget the rests of Euphoria season 2, except that one episode carried by Zendaya. If you've watched her actor to actor interview with Andrew Garfield, he described it very well how Zendaya just deserved this Award.
The way she portrays an addict so well it really makes me believe she's been through some stuff in real life but then again that's the reason she won 2 Emmys because her acting is impeccable.
Seeing all the incredible amazing actors & actresses stand and give Zendaya an applause is everything! Episode 5 was soul crushing, the episodes after that… Whew!!! Rue going to the ladies house to get away & trying to find something, her being injected being in that tub, the flashbacks of her speech at her Dads funeral. Rue as a little girl. MANNNN Zendaya was amazing! Truly made me cry, hurt, feel Rues pain & suffering right along with her! Congrats Z!!!!
Euphoria was a good show but the character of rue totally soared the show to another level. Zendaya Portrail of an addict was so moving heartbreaking and on point . I always tear up watching a lot of her scenes cause I see myself in rue. I’ve been in those situation and to see her act it out so emotionally is touching and heartfelt. So thank u zendaya
She is an insanely good actress ever since I watched the episode Of her and her mom fighting I knew she was going to win something she 100% deserves this
I used to watch Zendaya on the Disney Channel with my daughter when she was young. Such a talented girl and a VERY deserved win. She also gets my vote for best dressed of the night! Absolute perfection from head to toe! Congratulations, Zendaya!
I love anytime Sandra is nominated in a category, she shows so much appreciation for the winner even if she doesn’t win. Such a humble, articulate, intelligent, and beautiful young woman! She totally deserved this Emmy
