Leadership challenges at SABS 

A leadership vacuum at the South African Bureau of Standards has led to instability and discontent among staff. The entity has been operating with an acting CEO for four years, with several board resignations. Union, NEHAWU, is active at the bureau, and says calls for stability fall on deaf ears. Workers have now gone on strike over its restructuring plan. SABS acting CEO, Lungelo Ntobongwana, says he's written to the new Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, calling for an intervention.
