Used to have an old chief that would stroll through our squadron every Friday afternoon rolling a cooler full of beer behind him. He would just hang out for a bit, see how things were going, and share some beer with us enlisted guys. I've been out for 20 years now, and that's what I still remember.

I'm non-military, but I watch these videos to improve in my leadership. For anyone who can answer, what is a "0-5" or a "0-6"? I understand most of the terminology, but that's a new one for me.

Being upset and feeling sorry for yourself won't solve any problem, but getting up and setting your way to your goals will. And good RU-vid communities will influence you positively. Keep grinding 💪

When full collaborative integration is achieved from the top down and the bottom up then tied together and fully integrated between direct action/indirect action and direct support/indirect support everything functions seamlessly... miraculously. This does not occur without good leadership. It can not occur with bureaucracy first. It can not occur with political agendas creating political propaganda and political brinksmanship rather than mission first realities. The weakest links are everywhere and go unnoticed until whatever goes wrong goes wrong... usually; typically; generally; the problems are far removed from source and politically not allowed to be sourced leading to inconsistencies or consistency in a bad way. Good leadership can be learned and leadership qualities are not always appointed or elected... so people need to get to understand the differences and recognize the situation. Artificial masking of leadership is a correctable issue... protect the leadership from itself by creating honest representation and the leadership becomes good leadership by default and grows healthier which improves outcomes everywhere every time period. The lowest level today is that highest official in the future.

I was so grateful when the Royal Navy introduced their Phys incentive. If you score excellent, you get a two year pass. If it's clear that you look after yourself, you shouldn't need to prove, every year that you can run a 2.4km at a fast walking pace. 🙄

I disagree and think that True leaders are Born NOT "made". I think that God inherits some with the gift of leadership and others he does not.
