What a great way to mark even slices - with a comb. I never would have thought of that. Thank you.

Love the way you teach. What kind of paper is that you put clay in then run through pasta machine? I can see how that would keep the blades cleaner

Hi Renee, sorry for the late reply, and thank you for your question! The paper i'm using is parchment paper - it's also very helpful in preventing "rippling" where the clay sticks to your rollers on the thinner settings. Hope this helps!

Hi meena! In this video I used Sculpey Premo for the simple and assembled leaf canes, but I use Fimo Pro (mixed with a bit of Sculpey Premo) for the textured leaf cane to maintain the detail. Sculpey Premo was a bit tricky to use because it's a softer type of clay, but it was all I had at the time, though I eventually went to the store to restock on Fimo Pro. That's why i'm using two different types of clay in this video.

Wow nice teaching Jennifoo!! I have fimo pro, n premo, is it ok to mix clays? That comb trick is fire!

@@YaGirlCJ Haha, thank you CJ! Yes, definitely, it's a great idea to mix clays to customize their properties. Since Fimo Pro is firm (but can be a bit too firm for some people) and Premo is softer (but can sometimes be too soft especially for caning), you can mix them together to make them medium soft and get the best of both worlds. Have fun mixing and claying!
