I was able to grab the very last Leaf ELiTE Stainless😃but missed out on the ELiTE Twig/Thorn😡 Of the two, I guess I am happiest with the SS Leaf as I use it almost everyday on the dome. Special thanks to you Sūbs as your video gave me the heads up on their back door site… otherwise, I would have missed both🙏🏼

Yeah man. To me, it feels like my SS Elite Thorn feels more mild than the original. On my face, where the hair is coarser, it needed some extra passes; haven’t taken it to the dome yet, but I’m gonna bet it’ll be a match made in heaven!

Nice shave. I agree it's a little tug feeling but not bad at all. It shaves very well. I agree it would have been nice to have both but I rarely use the Twig anymore but my Wife has been. I love these SS versions and I'm glad they created them. Thanks so much to the Leaf team for making these possible. Have a great week buddy
Glad to hear my thoughts were inline with yours my ELITE brother!! If you look at the Zmak compared to the Elite there's definitely some differences, different head cap size, exposure is slightly different, ect ect. They did a ton of work to offset the weight and to try and keep the razor from being overly bitey. For me, it was TOTALLY worth the grab! Thanks for joining me man!
Awesome! I'm kicking myself that I didn't throw in when they were pre-ordering, but maybe at some point they'll get things figured out. I like the look, but when I was discussing it with him in IMCDB's comment section, I did mention that it would go better if it had a more classic look. There're just a few tweaks that could be made to make it look sleeker, would make the machining process easier/less expensive, and give it more broad appeal. Very cool though!
What's interesting is the Thorn actually went through extensive prototyping. They had a post on FB showing it, it had tons of different variations - and it's always interesting to think about what could have been. Here's to hoping their next razor shares some of the things that make this Elite version special 😍
Indeed I like the Twig quite a lot, and mused that this would be great in stainless or titanium. Sounds like though this will be not obtainable by the average Joe. Hope that Leaf might decide to do a larger run then, as I would certainly be interested in it.
I mean I still consider myself an average Joe, with a wife chasing him with a stick for "running the bills up" 😣😖🤣 But I get what your saying - 250$ for a razor is a HARD sell when you can get the Zmak for 60ish. Titanium would have been even more difficult and I can't imagine the agony that would have caused. I think the 25 nearly killed the Leaf Shave team and I doubt highly we'll be seeing any further attempts at this sadly. I'm just happy I could share this here!

Bought this in like April of last year sooooo it's been a long wait! Really happy with the final product though!! Super smooth, perhaps a bit more mild than the ZMAK variations, and with perfect knurled grip. Incredible Razor and one I am beyond proud to show and share!!! You really can't go wrong with the Leaf Brand! When I saw that they were doing the limited stainless... Man I didn't even think about hitting the buy now. But I agree I think there's a ton here that leaf can do to make their future models even better! Thanks you my friend for your comment!

I wasn't thinking about purchasing it since I'm already using the regular version. But now, thinking about it again, I realize that it would have been better to buy it after all. +Please note that there may be errors in translation as I am using ChatGPT for translation.
I am impressed that they got the weight under 100 grams with a good balance on this razor. I do hope that they choose to produce this razor in larger volume. Perhaps they can get the price under $200. I do expect it to be twice the cost of their zamak razor. But, the complexity of the mechanism has got to be a challenge in SS. Did you say whether this is 303 or 316L SS?
I believe it's all Cncd stainless 316L - and that includes all the parts. I guess it was quite a challenge and way more work than they had originally expected. The shape, design, and head all are slightly different than the Zmak simply due to the difficulty of making it. The weight was something they REALLY worked on as they didn't want it to feel different in the hand. After the back and forth and the manufacturer essentially giving up on trying to make them, I doubt we'll ever see these again even for MORE than 250$ sadly. My hope is that with injection styled molding and new innovation premium new windows will open. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks so much for watching! I said the same thing countless times - but unfortunately the razor is far to complex to be made cheap in a superior CNCd metal. Plain and simple. My hope is they find a way to either injection mold or alter the design to allow for a lower price. Until then - I'm keeping the one I have 🤣👍 Thanks again for watching!
