I hope Matthew is OK today. The Panther’s gooned him more than once last night at the beginning of the game. They seemed to be targeting him. Very concerned for Matthew this morning.

My junior hockey coach and his staff said the same thing the other night when we were watching it. They clearly had their sights set on him, they wanted to take him out early, they saw him as a threat.

He is 20 years old, in a new city, playing for one of the biggest teams in the NHL. Crosby did the same thing, he moved in with Lemieux for a few years. It helps him take the focus off of worrying about things while he's playing. No doubt his parents are helping him find a home, while they're staying at JT's place. He signed with Toronto for 3 years, so I'm sure they also asked someone, JT to take him under his wings for the first year. Don't be so quick to judge, think a little.

@@mrcool76789 Maybe land real estate is what his parents (who are very smart people) and the Leafs front office recommended if he's signed for 3 years. If this bothers you, I can't imagine how other serious things in life get to you. lol

@@mrcool76789 Rookies almost always stay with an older teammate not because they can't afford their own house but because they need to learn how to be a professional in the nhl. That 1 year is huge in the development of a young mind.
