Thank u so much for this beautiful, Heart-Felt video! I put 5,555mi (8,940km) on my Scorpion fs20. It was a great trike... I especially loved the comfortable suspension. I had 40L Ortliebs (that were 100% waterproof) and I put 25L Radical Designs banana panniers on the seat, then I put my sleeping bag, tent, and sleeping pad on top of the rack, so i had plenty of room to do long tours. I had a Schulmpf MT drive paired with a DDIII (3 speed internal hub w/ a 9 speed cassette) on the rear, so my Gear Inch range was an amazing 8 to 125, with 54 total gears! Super low and super high gears really come in handy, especially climbing the mountains in California. I look forward to your next video.
I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I ride a Catrike Expedition in Laramie Wyoming USA. I found it very interesting to see where my family was from. My great grandmother, Johanna Jensen, was born & raised in Flensborg before the Prussians captured Slesvig from Denmark. That's when she, my great grandfather Mads Hansen Jensen, & their infant son, my grandfather, Hans Christian Jensen came to America.
Nice travel, nice storytelling, nice videos with good editing, nice music, tasty homemade bread (without dust and pebbles!)... what else? More to come? The Scorpion rules! Riding by trike along the Baltic Sea is an old dream of mine.
Nice! I rode an Azub Fat trike from Madri to Timbuktu, about 10.000 km and an Azub Tricon From Napoli to Kabul and back, about 35.000 km. And now I am thinking to go From Italy to Australia and back!
Well I guess I am wrong. I thought Denmark, Sweden and Finland all followed the rule of "every mans right to roam about" which as I understand it means you can camp just about anywhere.
Hi. Can you share the whole route turn by turn. Did you plan on koomot Google maps or similar. I use komoot. I have a tour planned. So far planned upto just past Harlingen Thanks.
@@therecumbentbakery Dover to Calais. Then from Calais to harlingen. But interested in doing your tour. So Harlingen to Denmark but only to as far as you get to before you go on ferry over to Sweden. Thanks.
www.dropbox.com/sh/ft98pngm6rmwowq/AADL3p3oOnWafPIJLpSLGjoDa?dl=0 Here is a folder with my rout. It's a little messy because I planned it day by day. But it seems the files will open in both Topo GPS and Komoot.
@@therecumbentbakery Hi. Okay downloaded and imported and slightly re planed and edited 2 of them. Just 3 more Questions where was that busy highway main road on the map want to avoid it. I like Quiet lanes like you. Where was the path you said you liked. Where was the bit where you dropped the bread. Also the bit where you go round a litte pond and a long white building. Thanks
Thank you! Actually I do regret I didn't by the orange bags. Further more, I'm a little annoyed with some things about the Banana bags. I might make a video about that later...
The process of packing down my stuff in them is not very smooth. As they are not 100% water proof I use "liners" inside and it makes it a bit tricky when putting down things. Of course it's not difficult but I can't stop thinking about having a more straightforward process. I also think that the shape of the panniers don't correspond very good with for example my tent. This was s bit difficult to explain, I really should make that video :-).
