"Awaken" and "The Call" are equally good and equally goosebump inducing. Highly recommend. Also the purple girl is called Kai'sa and she is also in "The Call" cinematic

“Cutie” is Lux, she’s a light mage (for lack of better terms) and the dude with the huge armor and sword is her brother Garen. Teleport blondie is Ezreal. Purple with glorious hair and epic lasers is Kai’sa (you’ll see more of her in K/DA). Your “holy shit” face is epic 😂

Just to clarify on the song, this song was made for an earlier League music video, then for the 2020, they remade the song for this music video.

The guy with the chains is Sylas. He is a mage. In Demacia, where Garen and Lux are royals, magic is forbidden and mages are jailed. Sylas escaped with Lux's help, as she has been hiding her own magic since childhood, then returned in a rebellion. When he gets in physical contact with someone, he can steal that champion's ultimate. That ghost sword he was going to slay Garen with was Garen's own sword. The scary cyborg is indeed in Ekko's vid, he is Urgot.

I think I watched this post-Arcane for the first time and I was shocked out of my mind. Like, I love Vi and Cait...but who tf were these other people!? I literally got chills at the end when Lux's eyes glowed. Think I watched it like three times. Then, I watched five reaction videos of it. (I'm weird, okay? 😂) Overall, I love this one for the sheer epicness. I am never bored watching League cinematics even if I don't know wtf is going on half the time. The quality of the animation and the music is just amazing. Great reaction. The excitement on your face is everything.

So, fun fact: Kai'sa (which you called the hottie) is in KDA. So you can look forward to that. Lol If you really, really don't like KDA (and I doubt you'll hate it), there's a different League music video called "True Damage - Giants". It has Ekko as one of the singers/rappers.

Alot to unpack here so Ill just go over your big questions. - First of all, yes this is not the "original" form of Warriors. The original Warriors was the first Worlds song for Season 2 of the Championship and it was made/performed by: Imagine Dragons! - The Lila girl that fought against those "spiderlings" is called Kai´Sa (she is also apart of K/DA) you are welcome :) - Yea the blonde chick with the staff is Lux you are correct! The guy running in front of her is her Brother Garen (also an older character and beginner friendly) - Lastly the guy Vi and Cait are fighting does look similar to the guy in Ekko: Seconds. Back when the Ekko trailer came out many were theorizing that the guy he was fighting would end up being the rework of a champion named Urgot. So yea that was Urgot, the green goo they are both huffing is the equivalent to Shimmer btw. (Shimmer didnt exist in that form until Arcane, we knew it as Chemtech and it was green) There is alot of Lore and background to unpack here obviously. Still amazing how much you loved this one even tho none of the characters (except for Lux, Cait and Vi) were known to you. All the other Season opening cinematics are equally as good and hype (except for 2023) but you probably wont recognize any champs in those. If you still decide to watch them, you are in for a treat

I love how hyped you are about this cinematic :D. The call and awaken are similar in a way that they are also expanding on the characters in short scenes with cool music in the background. For me personally I like this one the least but that is because I don't care much for these champions. I loved Awaken most personally because I love Draven and Jhin. But when it comes to animation quality, the call is clearly the best.

In the frozen land are Lux, Garen (sword) and Sylas (chains), and then Gallio (the giant). In the ruins are Ezreal (blonde Indiana Jones) and Kai'sa. In the Piltover's prisons, the "cyborg" is Urgot.

I watched this before Arcane, went "Cool!" and moved on. Then I watched Arcane. Rewatched Warriors and lost my shit at Vi and Cait showing up! Plus the song cover SLAPS

You say you want to know more about the world? The league universe webpage is full of content, from stories, comics (some in collab with Marvel), novels, audiotales, artwork (some of wild fauna, some of buildings and architecture). And even better the Runeterra Interactive map will lead you to a rabbit hole wherever you click. If for example you click on noxus, it will tell you the kind of government, their approach to magic, and will link you to artwork of their culture, society and wildlife with flavor text. And then obviously it all is interconnected, clicking on noxus will show you all noxian champions, and clicking on one will bring you to their bio, and there they will link you to champions related to that one and so on. There are channels that explore all this content doing regions/champions reviews (for example the reelsym or georgiegames), so don't worry if you think you reacting to all that kind of stuff would be boring to watch, there's a lot of people watching those kind of videos and I personally love to watch those. But if you're not into reading that much, I recommend you Shambits Gaming channel, he has a playlist called Lore Videos (so far 4), they feel like he is exploring all that content for you and you just watch and listen. Those videos are an overview of Regions (So far Noxus, Ionia and Demacia). Really recommend those. Lux is that blonde girl, and the bulky guy with the 2 handed sword is her brother Garen. They're fighting a mage rebellion led by Sylas, the beard guy with chains. Demacia may seem like your good guys kingdom with knights in shiny armor but they have this problem where they are like religious fanatics zealots that pursue mages and throw them in jail and torture them, it doesn't matter if they are children or innocent people. No that guy is not the same guy from the Ekko cinematic. Those kind of breathing masks with chemtech pipes are common augments in Zaun (you can find pictures of a lot of people using them in the universe webpage). In the Climb cinematic there are another common thugs like the one in the Ekko Seconds that have similar augments, and you see another one in the warwick champion teaser. This guy with spider legs is not just a random thug though, he is Urgot, he was a noxian soldier but got set up and was sent to Zaun so he wouldn't interfere with Swain's coup at the noxian capital. The blonde guy is from Piltover but he usually is never home, he is kind of a nathan drake, lara croft and indiana jones combined. He found a glove in some ancient tombs but he does not how to use it at its full potential. The purple hot chick is Kai'Sa. I think she was kidnapped by voidlings or she fell into a void rift I don't remember, but she was inside the void from an early age and had to learn to survive by herself. That purple suit is kind of alive, like a symbiote from the void.

Caitlyn and Vi vs Urgot is my favorite part in this cinematic. It's continuation of the "Child of Zaun" Vi's lore story, Jinx have nothing to do with that story.

You don't have to apologize for watching it more than once. I watched it a few times and then decided to see how other people react to it! The first guy with the big sword clashing with the guy with the two chains - Warrior guy is Garen and I think Lux is his sister (maybe?). The attention to detail is really cool in this one. The guy with the chains is Sylas. In the game his ultimate is to take the ultimate of another enemy champion. When Garen strikes him with his sword, you'll notice the yellow mist. That is essentially Sylas absorbing the power of Garen's sword. Notice later on how Sylas is holding a yellow sword? That's an exact replica of Garen's sword. Such a cool detail. Also when Vi strikes three times in a row, it's a reference to her passive in game (how I interpreted it anyway) and at the end when she knocks Urgot up into the air with her punch is her ultimate ability. Also, I think the guy in the Ekko video was Urgot as well, but he got a rework since then, so he looks bigger in this one. Either way. I can't get enough of some of these cinematics and you should DEFINITELY watch "The Call".

I'm not a LoL player... and never have been. I've seen too many people go down that rabbit hole and come back... not as good. But I *AM* a fan of the stuff Riot puts out that's ancillary to the game. After hearing your "Who is this!?" when Kai'Sa's face is revealed, add me to the chorus of folks asking for some K/DA reactions! Maybe make it a few songs a vid for 2 or 3 vids. Jinx is in a couple of cinematics, but sadly not in either Awaken or The Call, which are probably the two best League cinematics overall

You are correct that this version of Warriors is different than the one you are probably used to hearing. It is a re-imagining (heh) of the original song by Imagine Dragons who had made it for LoL World Championships, I think in 2013 but don't quote me on that. Enemy was not their first collaboration with Riot. Honestly it's probably because this has newer production, but I prefer this arrangement to the original one. In terms of what cinematic I'd love for you to react to next, I am just going to be saying the same things that everyone else is saying. If you want more from hottie, watch The Call. It has best girl in it as well, and the animation and detail is just incomprehensibly good if you enjoy life-like cinematics. Most people, including myself on first watch, thought that they had to have some live-action elements in it. Almost every cinematic is going to be a good watch if you want hype. The only cinematic I would recommend against watching is Brink of Infinity. It may be the newest "cinematic" but it seemed like it was hastily put-together after something better fell through.

Just a note, Imagine Dragons' Warriors was NOT originally written for League. It came out back in 2014 when it was still standard practice to take existing songs and use them with other media like game trailers. There is a 2014 animated version of the original song that League put out. Unfortunately licensing issues, copyright conflicts, royalty deals, etc became a problem as League continued to grow which led to Riot opting to produce all their own music in-house. Because they write/produce/create all their own music now, they have complete creative control of it now. (BTW the issues weren't with Imagine Dragons themselves, as they still have a good relationship with Riot as evidenced by their continued work with them, but with the licensing/management companies that own the distribution rights. This is also why the original Imagine Dragons Warriors song was remade by Riot for this 2020 cinematic so they own the remake.)
