He’s all around a great player. I’m just glad he’s playing for the hogs and not against! Definitely a underrated player and wasn’t talked about enough in the preseason. He can really make things happen.
in simple terms anthony black has the potential to completely change the sport of basketball by making it mandatory to be able to theoretically play all positions 1-4 on offense and defense but also be a true floor general. As long as he can continue to develop a quicker 3 point release with more elevation I do not see a part of his game that he hasnt already shown he can do at the nba level. Ja Morant and Kyrie Irving are the only point guards I've seen at this level in college but he's got freaky bounce and he's 6'7 i mean SHEEESSSHHHHHH
Change the game. Why do people act like Pippen, Rodman, Kobe, Gervin, Moncrief never existed. No, it was always normal back 25 years ago to have at least two guys that could defend every position but center. Now, with no hand check and tyree second rules, it's run down, shoot threes, hardly any defense. Wish they'd at least bring back the hand check.
@@heatherphillips5983 ya this is just simply a really bad take. Basically all of those examples have a number of weaknesses in their game. What I’m saying is IF he keep it up the only one from your rando list is Magic. You didn’t even name the most dynamic players to date..
@@johnpittman7095 you're right- all those proven professionals do have flaws in their game. This guy in his first year in college, though, will absolutely rewrite the history of the sport.
League his ass. Incredible vision, unbelievable decision making as a frshman PG. Love this kid. Best PG in the country...Knows when to get his teammates involved and when to score the rock. Rip Rip. Hes ripping everybody he plays against. So much talent and upside.
Anthony Black is The New & Improved Prototype of An NBA player. He’s a 3-Level Point-Wing Floor General with incredible defense 1-4 and a 3 point shot. That’s a new breed.
I like this team. They need to work on their ball screen defense. Black is well rounded. Council did an excellent job in the tournament as well. I just wish Walsh would be more aggressive on offense. His defense is really good. I can't wait to see Smith in the lineup. More importantly, we have some athletic bigs that we didn't have last year.
keep waiting for walsh to settle into the offensive flow...he cannot stop telegraphing his decisions its frustrating but you can see the raw ability he just has to take what the defense gives em. super cliche but he needs to take it to heart. fantastic on defense and rebounding and hustle plays but the competition only about to get a lot tougher!
@@johnpittman7095 I think he'll be fine. He just need that confidence. See a few shots fall in. But, it looks like his more comfortable natural role is pass first and look for his shot later. I don't have a problem with how he's playing so far because I'll take solid defender in my lineup anyday. But, I think he'll be fine as the season progresses.
Man.. Honestly. I wouldn't start Walsh.. Not cause he's not good.. Because I see 5 guys that have been playing way better... Assuming Nick Smith will be back into the starting lineup. I'd go Brazile Mitchell Council Smith & Black
@@dc7236 Sure, he's not producing on offense, but his defense is elite. He's 6'6 with a long wingspan and can guard 1-4. There aren't many people on the bench who can do that, maybe outside of Dunning Jr. I'll take his defense in my starting lineup. Go back and look at his defense against San Diego State and Creighton. His offense will come eventually. If they needed an offensive producer that badly, Muss would bench him. He just needs some confidence. He will be fine.
@@breezy4169 bro, Philly got too many guards. Unless they’re willing to get rid of some of their guards then maybe but the system would never work anyway. He could be the next Draymond with better ball handling and more athletic
A lot of freshman who come in are very overrated.. But Black is UNDERRATED.. both Walsh and Smith were ranked ahead of him.. But Black is head and shoulders better than both
I love his competitiveness, guys like him have all talent and skill but he competes for loose balls with high energy. I will say he does need to be better going left especially at the next level. SDSU was forcing him left
@@Boo_Jones sdu was a #1 seed with these player in class of 2020/2021 "a veteran group that knows Thier assignment!! Your comparing that with a freshman team that just started the year Lol ..you obviously don't know basketball
