Jonathan Ross, 13/05/2005, circa the release of the League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse, with the full set of gentlemen: Mark Gatiss, Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and Jeremy Dyson. Not my copyright, just sharing found ephemera.
Mark Gatiss is so charismatic, he’s fairly soft spoken but just has a sort of magnetic aura - it always shines through in interviews as well his acting.
I am a yank who just watched LoG S1, E1,2,3. Reese is my favorite so far (Edward and Geoff in E1), and even *I* recognize (recognise) this interviewer is probably "deaf" ;-) Looking forward to the series, the movie, and S4!
@@garrybaldy327Quinisential- 'representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class' I know what it means. My previous assessment stands.
Lord, their body posture says it all, I've never seen Steve or Jeremy look so miffed! Even Mark looks like he's gritting his teeth and smiling. I can't blame them though, this was a terrible interview; interrupting, dismissive and rude (especially to Jeremy) from the beginning. I know that's Ross trying to be 'funny' but insulting your guests within the first minute is never a good start.
@@vermilliongecko because each time they tried to talk that moron interrupted them with insults , non research , omg how is that jerk off even famous i now understand just from this clip why so many people hate him
I just gotta say ppotter, you're doing some amazing archival work for us hardcore fans of offkilter britcom around the world. I really appreciate having all these new, old, little gems to find.
Gosh, I've never seen Ross give such an egregious interview. I know he was trying to be funny and "banterous" but he just came off rather disrespectful at parts. Perhaps he could tell Reece was fed up hence the arse liking near the end!
I almost couldn't believe this is now 15 years ago - until they started bantering about "kindly old Rolf Harris". Who, it has to be said, does give off a distinct Royston Vasian whiff these days.
So addicted to watching them all on BBC iPlayer. I had young kids when they first emerged and didn't truly become addicted intil the 20th anniversary revival. These guys truly unique geniuses, so funny, dark and brilliant characters. Reece in particular is rather lovely and also makes a convincing lady (Mrs Levinson)... love them all!!
I'm American and love this show! It took me days to find it on dvd back in the day lol but I still have it! I'm not sure what the real names of the guys are but he guy in the black suit is hot af! Always had a crush on him! I will admit this interview is cringe af! It wasn't even like good conversation they all just would nod 🤔
They guys are - Reece Shearsmith (Pyscoville & Inside No. 9) Steve Pemberton (Pyscoville, Inside No. 9, Whitchapel and Benidorm) Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who Big Finish, Sherlock) Jeremy Dyson
Well done to The Gents for taking this in good humour. This isn't even Ross's worst work! Was once the most successful at this kind of thing. Success continued, even after this! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U7IHJ66wj9g.html
And what was Rolf doing with all that free time, not having to sign his name ? Singing about "two little boys" ? hope they were local, Rolf got 5 years prison in 2014 For ..look it up yourself. Ah well , forgive and forget, He didn't bum me so who cares? right ? NO NEVER !!
Awww, bless them. A bit nervous and a bit taking themselves too seriously. And Reece before he realised it was fine to step just one foot from up his own arse. I do love the LOG, but one or two of them can be premadonnas if the mood takes them!
