Amazing attention to detail and yet the clay is able to stay in place without falling apart from its own weight.

The clay is lightweight clay. As the name would suggest it is light unlike resin clay, cold porcelain clay, or polymer clay. It is preferrable for pieces like this due to that one attribute. It is also pretty cheap. From a local shop, I can get 500g for roughly US$3.20.
