Jean the second. She never left . she was kicked out. She is not doing anything courageous. She knows she is safe when she lies about church. No one will harm her. She admitted someone is paying her to attack scientology org, but did not give a name.
@ She is not going to say she was kicked out when she has been telling everyone for years that she left on her own. No one in Management is going to harm her so I don't see why she is "courageous". Harming her for speaking out against scientology is not something they would do. If you search, you might find video of man who said Leah told him she was being paid by someone to make the show and attack Scientology Org, but no name was given. P.s. it was shown by church in reponse to Leah's attacks and "the aftermath" show. So, if it was from church I don't think tou would believe it. They stopped showing it months ago.
patphatcat I would be interested in the source where she admitted getting paid to Scientology. I cannot find any source that points to that. However, Scientology has a well-known past for engaging in frivolous litigation, criminal behavior, and smear campaigns against its critics like Operation Freakout and Operation Snow White. If you don’t care, could you point me to that source? I’m highly critical of Scientology, but I want to be open to getting accurate information about it in order to judge it.
@@dakotadenali9678 it was an ad made by scientology org where, someone who worked with her on her show, said that she told him she is getting paid to attack scientology org and that he could " write his own ticket" if he joined her in the attack. It was in response to her show. Because it was made by scientology org, I don't think you will take it seriously. I think they stopped showing it anyway.
patphatcat Thank you! I think it was able to find the ad in question. Correct if I’m wrong, but it was an ad featuring Marty Rathbun speaking about Leah approaching him to speak on her show. Yes, I don’t think the ad has a lot of credibility since Rathbun has involved himself with many questionable actions to say the least. However, I appreciate you providing me with that.
The biggest thing I don't understand about Scientology is how could people be so dedicated to LRH when he was a science FICTION writer. He literally made a religion based on a fictional story.
Don't forget that he stole from many other religions. Kinda throwing them together, Listen to some of Chris Shelton's podcast on the matter. He has quite a few videos and if Chis is to dry then Growing Up In Scientology channel is really good too for learning about some of the things that went into making it. He interviews some very interesting people including Mary Kahn who made it all the way to OT7 twice.
It’s much different from what you expect. It starts out with life management skills that really work and you notice huge changes in your life immediately and that’s how people get hooked and trust the church.
Of course their origins are all cults ; but as the number of adherents in their cults increases they become more socially relevant and take on more respect in their communities and build magnificent edifices in the name of their cult they become places of worship and propaganda to reinforce their outrageous doctrines , dogmas and superstitious claims !
I have so much respect for this women. She can admit her wrongdoings and she is honest about who she is and what she stands for. I don't think we could ask for more from her. She cares and she gives but even better is she listens and she hears you !
I had to flee and escape my family and other people trying to force me to take psychiatric drugs. Larry and Leah believing psychiatry helps people is hypocrisy . Psychiatry is a cult just the same as Scientology is, and it is FORCED on children and conditioned on them at a young age. There are also more people in the Psychiatry cult than Scientology.
@@christinamitchell6796 howard sterns interview with Leah carries a lot of weight. Also there is substantial evidence that a case can be made that Leah is just a diversion tactic to mislead individuals with quarrels with the church. What's the goal tho?
How is that gonna stop the cult? Cruise means nothing to the cult but a celebrity face. He's replaceable. And we don't know what's really happening to him in the cult. He could be blackmailed into remaining within the cult for all we know.
Tia Aaron I would disagree in that tom cruise is absolutely NOT replaceable for them right now. They’ve put all of their eggs into his basket at this point... him jumping ship would be a nightmare for them. I’d gleefully with them “luck” maintaining their image with John Travolta, Danny masterson and greta van susteren as the public faces of their organization lol I don’t think it would die entirely, but Tom cruise could absolutely demolish that church if he was suddenly inspired to do so.
I love this side of Leah. Sure we often see the candid, kidding around side of her. She’s real. Authentic. And she also knows when to pull it together and be serious like in this interview. She’s VERY well spoken. Love you Leah!
She is a suppressive person spreading lies about the Church. go look into Scientology for yourself before judging it based on suppressive media hounds.
So strange how Scientology trolls its members and gets them to respond to negative reactions from the public. True faiths don't encourage hating, hurting, hiding like Scientology does.
And if she thinks, she is brain washed, then she sure is weak, not brave. She has some personal issues with them. Why don't she reveal what that truth is rather than pointing towards others. Sure she cares!
What is the honest truth that made her leave this Org? Everyone is selfish in their own way, everyone does something against another due to their own failure. What is that failure that has put her into this frustration?
Leah & friends have also saved many people from other oppressive, controlling, cult-like religions in so excellently showing Scientology for what it is.
@@valerieann8007 I do not know what other people she has saved that were of from different religion. Care to elaborate what these other religions are, if you don't mind! Because I have only heard her speak of one religion and never of any other. I never knew she was against other religions as well...oh 🤔
I read an article/interview about Tom Cruise once, and it was generally favorable, the reporter went to his house, they played tennis, etc., he described how Tom made him feel like his best friend. He then wrote it only struck him as he was leaving...he'd never been invited inside. That stuck with me for some reason, like he's great at putting up a great front, but you never really get close, never see what's really there.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Most people don’t understand (because it’s such a different way of life) how BRAVE & STRONG one has to be to be doing & saying in front of the world what Leah is saying! God Bless her! Very strong & very courageous, not to mention she is such a hoot! If you think Leah is a good time, her mother is such a good time.
Somewhere, David Miscavige is going apeshit right now and beating up some unfortunate Sea Org. drone who had the misfortune of being in his vicinity at the time.
Tom Cruise is in total denial! Mr. Cruise, if you had very little money, how long do you think you would last in Scientology?? You wouldn't. God bless you, Leah, for being so brave in exposing this evil empire of spineless bullies. You go, girl!!!
You also save me Leah.. I watch the movie and also the first season of your show. I was so close to let my bf convince me into it but im glad i googled the facts. He is soo brainwashed is sad to see it. He literally told me that the church has asked him many times to handle me so we broke up. It is hard but im glad it happened now and not 20-30 years from now 🙏🏻 thank you!
They did the same with Cat, Jim Carey's girlfriend, they really wanted that celebrity on their platform. When he broke up with her, she suddently "was suicided".
Wow! I couldn’t be happier for you! I can’t imagine what would’ve occurred otherwise, children probably involved... so much more difficult to leave (if you’d come to that realization!) at that point! Take care & I hope you’re doing much better if you’re in another relationship. 💜💗💜
This is so fascinating. I've always been shocked by the amount of people who have been taken in by Scientology because to me, Scientology always seemed like a cult. It's great that Leah Remini is speaking out about it.
I remember watching a documentary about scientology years ago, when Leah Remini was still in it. The whole time she was being interviewed, there were upper level scientoligest sitting in the room. I thought then it was really creepy and controlling, that they wouldn't even let her do an interview alone.
I read her book in one single day. I could not put it down until it was done. So well written, her sense of humor shone through so well, and it educated me on a topic I didn't know much about. Bless. Also, how many times did he ask almost the same question that she's already answered?
Web Rookie Your agenda shows through that transparent post, my friend. It sounds as though you're motivated far more by ideology than by fact. What evidence do you have to suggest that Remini had nothing to do with the writing of her book? Based on your writing technique alone, i'm going to guess that you aren't a highly educated individual either. Credentials matter, as you yourself suggest.
I'm so glad that there's brave people like Leah who stand by those who have been hurt by this very dangerous cult. And telling the truth of it's obvious abuses.
Chet Chelios Nothing to come back to except lies, false love bombing and a sense of purpose that is hollow once one knows the origins of the cult. May YOU find freedom of expression, a real love accepting people as they are not as you’ve been told people must be lest they be damned and above all a thirst to know what’s really true. For the REAL TRUTH does set us all free!!!
I had a massive crush on a guy I met at the gym who is a Jehovah Witness. Really cool guy we spoke a lot but noticed his demeanor would change and he would look around a lot. At first I thought he was embarrassed of me but he pulled me to the side and said he apologizes for acting weird. People from the Watchtower also work out at this gym and if he sees me talking to him they are going to think im “otherworldly “ in otherwords not from the cult lol. There was a day where he cried in front of me. It’s sad. Truly feel he never managed to live a full life of happiness Never saw him since that day.
Raphael Ferrero WOW that’s truly sad but true of how some JWs end up acting. They want to be themselves, they want to be free, but freedom comes at an extremely high price. I hope that guy will be okay such behavior gone on too long causes depression, bipolar disorder and unfortunately in a few suicide. Be good and be yourself; if you cannot do both where you are in life in my opinion you are doing neither. We cannot truly do good or love others if the real self isn’t allowed to shine. There’s a big difference between trying to improve ourselves and work against immorality our weaknesses and denying our true nature. Thanks for listening to that JW and sharing.
"It's a pay as you go religion" that's an excellent way of describing it. For a so called 'church' they really aren't the nicest of people when outsiders try to find out about them. Very aggressive and secretive.
Fantastic woman, smoky sensuality aside, her bravery and selflessness should be honored.. what she’s doing is so brave. And important. More people should in the limelight come forward and back her up,it’s sad she gives this message alone.. but obviously they’re too chicken to take on IAS.. go Leah! I support you.
@@John-xq2xc Nice try. Unluckily for you, she and others have already exposed what "the church" does in way of making smear sites. No one believes them. Scroll to the bottom of that site and look at who pays for it. That's all you need to know. Bye.
I'm glad that Leah has the balls to stand up against Scientology! I don't understand how people fell into a sy-fy writers world of religion! It shows me that most people are followers and do not question what's right in front of them.
Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean people are weak for being a member. The truth is: We are simply lucky that we haven't been born into a situation where most of our family is in a cult and we grow up believing that to be our truth. We've had the opportunity to grow up and shape our own beliefs and morals. Many members of scientology weren't as lucky. Also, Dr. Philip Zimbardo wrote a study about likeliness of joining a cult: "The majority of 'normal, average, intelligent' individuals can be led to engage in immoral, illegal, irrational, aggressive and self destructive actions that are contrary to their values or personality--when manipulated situational conditions exert their power over individual dispositions." Google it, learn more, educate yourself, don't simply say you don't understand how people can be so weak.
@@louibeans Well I agree. It is so hard to believe that people can be so blndly indoctrined in to these church-like cults. It seems so ridiculous, but we have Hollywood elitists like Tom Cruise promoting this rubbish. We should all be boycotting his movies, even his new, "Top Gun." The guy is nuts!!! Even the wide based religion, Catholicism, in which people worship an old guy dressed in robes as if he is the holy word of the "Creator," is a type of cult. People need to learn to think for themselves and just be good people period. It is not rocket science.
Yet these same people won’t believe in the Lord when there are eye witness accounts confirming His real presence and all His teachings, the one who will bring us to our real home! Pray for these poor lost souls!
I like Leah Remini - intelligent, honest and doesn't throw her weight around and pretend to be a know it all. Instead, simply asks people to get informed themselves and research if they want to find out for themselves. I wish her well.
She aint honest. I saw a few of her interviews and I worked at a scientology organization. She misleads people and maybe this is why she was kicked out of the church.
@@ericag5346 you have to know how church works. They wanted her money so badly, she was kicked out.😉 Scientology means "study of wisdom" and it works and I use it. I am not 🏃 ng anywhere. Leah lies and misleads people. She was a danger to Scientoogists, if policy was followed correctly, and she was kicked out. I worked at a church. She was removed for having a dangerous personality.
What's crazy is higher up scientologists are watching everything Leah does, probably posting in these comments rn, to try to slander her and lie to defend themselves.
"Psychiatry helps a lot of people" psychiatry is a cult that poisons people with drugs... What hypocrisy. I was poisoned by psychiatry for 17 years from age 11 to 28. I will never get my mind back in those years, and I have developed a neurological disease because of those drugs. What hypocrisy to say Scientology is a cult but psychiatry is HELPING people? They are poisoning people who have trauma, often times victims, and the scapegoat of narcissistic parents. (Im not a Scientologist btw, I really hope another organization or class action will really take down psychiatry. It is evil and cult like in its own right.)
This woman has bigger balls than any man I’ve ever met. I have so much respect for her for basically still putting her life on the line in order to save other people from this CULT.
Leah seems to understand that you expose Scientology by goading the church to expose itself. She knows that it simply can't resist attacking her and all the other ex-members she's helping. All she has to do is point to the way it stalks these people, harasses them, persecutes them, threatens them, and ask "What kind of a religious organization does this?" The church never grasps that it only substantiates her charges when it uses these tactics to refute them.
So proud of this beautiful young lady!!! I was a long time Tom Cruise fan, until he went cult crazy. Apparently telling Katie she was not allowed to make noise or have medication during labor. I have no respect for him or John Travolta as well. His son died bc he & his wife denied their son Jett the seizure medicine he needed, which led to him drowning after a seizure. I just wonder if they did anything medically possible when his wife Kelly was diagnosed w cancer? God rest her.
I never was involved in any cult but I find Leah’s work so fascinating and courageous to do. I hope, she keeps going until some things change, because Scientology is abusive, dangerous, inhuman and also undemocratic!
Jesus Larry, needs to learn to let people finish a single sentence before interrupting them with a diverting question. I'm amazed that bossy remini who always tries to dominate whoever she's talking to, didn't directly say "YO - let me finish!"
I live downtown clearwater , and went into the ice cream parlor they own. I told the kid I would like two scoop s of ice cream,,, i was told i cant give two scoops im being watched from scientology who owns the ice cream store. lol they are weirdos walking around clearwater, have their own bus system. They are weirdos and creepy
If a religion demands that you pay to play ... it’s not worth it. It should be out of goodness of your heart donations, not “demands”. Anytime a organization forces you to do things against your better judgement ...
I can’t help but like Leah Remini. Aside from being a beautiful woman on the outside you can hear in her voice & see in her face the empathy & compassion she feels for others. I got the audio version of her book, “Troublemaker: Surviving Scientology & Hollywood” read by her (which I prefer when the author reads it) & it was wonderful. It covered most of her life from childhood, how she made it in Hollywood, & how she got into Scientology as a child. It’s funny, insightful, very interesting & emotional. I highly recommend it!
Hello. Late to the discussion here... But for whatever it is worth to whom ever reads this. I was born into and raised in Scientology based in San Francisco from 1972 to 1984. Without going into details here, I confirm everything Leah is saying and suggesting, from my personal experience and upbringing. However, I will say with gratitude that I did learn two very impactful and valuable lessons from my time there. 1. I do not have to accept any negative circumstance or situation to be my reality, (victim vs. victor). But that I can see every adversity as an opportunity to grow, learn and change for the better. 2. I am in charge of what I want to accept. If I want to believe a lie that tears me down, deflates my value, then what I choose to believe will be my eventual reality. Equally, I can seek truth.... Not manufacture truth, that validates who I really am. That being I am a son of my Creator, who has given me value, not by my works, but by His grace. Of course I could have learned these same lessons from my Buddhist background, or from a Tony Robbins book, but I also see this same lesson found in the written, inspired word of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Summing up. Leah is correct that Scientology is parasite that feeds off the lives of its members, and does not seek the well being and benefit of mankind, but its own edification, and is in no way a church by any traditional understanding.
I offer so much respect to Leah to leave this organisation and talk about all the things they do. Such a strong and amazing woman. I wish her all the best from the bottom of my heart.
May 👼 Angels continue to wrap their loving protective arms around her- Leah Remini -and her family to keep them safe from these Scientology 😈 Devils. Amen☺
They've told a d convinced Tom he's some kind of special messenger. They hold him up as something special and panders to his ego. That's why he is so invested
@@lilg2300 he does incredible stunts, even though he is afraid sometimes, has 2 adopted children who adore him and knew they could depend on him. I don't think we are talking about the same person. There is the real Tom Cruise and the fantasy Tom Cruise you have in your mind, based on rumors and what people, who don't know him, probably, say. What are you doing with your life? If he is PATHETIC, what does one have to do to be a good person, or just a normal person, in your eyes?

Some MLMs mimic a "cult". The parallels to the controlling behaviors and investing lots of money under the premise of getting ahead/attaining higher levels within the "organization". Many things Remini says about Scientology resonates with my experience(s) with certain MLMs.
funpowderplot - Oh I know I was being facetious but completely understand. I just listen to some of their recruiting tactics and they sound insane, to far out of reach and almost like a pyramid scheme. If someone came to me and tried to tell me about this, I would roll my eyes and say "Yea right" and walk away. But I very much appreciate Leah's brave work against them. I can only imagine the scrutiny she is subjected to from these people.
Watch out, this is a naive statement wondering how it could happen. Anyone , at a vulnerable point in life or emotion can be seduced into a high control group. Children are raised in them not knowing any other way. LEARN about the methods and signs so you will not be seduced yourself at a vulnerable time.
Tee Because it works. You can google "talk to scientologist online" and they will share wins & successes. Scientology means "knowing how to know" or study of wisdom.
Alot of similarities between Scientology and Jehovah's Witnesses. Both are high control groups with leaders that you absolutely are not allowed to question at all, no matter how insane some of their beliefs are, both practice an extreme form of shunning of family and friends who decide to leave and both have a notorious paranoia of the outside world.
And unfortunately most I believe are born into it, so brainwashed all their lives until some eventually wake up to the real truth but at the expense of loosing family and friends
JWs do not ask you for that kind of money; they only disfellowship people who practice immorality and do not stoppracticing it because that's based on the Bible, unlike churches that let anyone do anything and still be in good standing. There are some churches who may also disfellowship but it is rarely done. And then when people who are baptized do wrong things and they do feel regret and stop, people complain again. If JWs were paranoid of the world, then why are they your co-workers, neighbors, etc and preach the good news of God's kingdom which Jesus told his followers to do door to door? In fact, all "Christians" are to do that but don't. If you have a question, you are shown the Bible verse on the subject. Stop lying and comparing scientology to them as there are no similarity at all. No one in JWs are controlled and if they want to leave, they leave not get harassed like scientology
She is telling the absolute truth! I also was a victim of Scientology in West Palm Beach, FL back in the late 60 s early 70's I don't remember, it's been so very long ago...I was 19 yrs at the time...I was a Spiritualist, and to this day, I'm still very much the same. At the time they tried to talk me into this cult..so I went to 1 of Ron L. Hubbards classes....and they said nothing of merit, except, if you hate your parents, get rid of them, join us, and I did not hate my parents, I loved my family..and I knew this was bull shit...so I never returned, and they continued to hunt me down for 10 years, and when they could not find me, they harrased my Mother for the same 10 years..what they didn't know I moved to NYC to persue my acting career..My self and my family ignored this horrible, dangerous organization...so after 10 years they finally gave up harrassing my family to find me.. Highly dangerous, false religion, brain washing cult...glad I was smart enough to see thru them after my first meeting/indocrination because I went to a lecture seeking truth...which was nothing but lies...I'm so glad my Spiritualist beliefs, and my highly psychic intuition...got me out asap! None the less, they harrassed my Mother for 10 years trying to get ahold of me, saying it was so important...I told Mom, don't tell them anything...and well, my Mother was also a psychic scholar...so it worked out well. For others, innocent victums...it's a sad verdict, because they fell for the Scientologist threats and abuse.
I'm having a hard time discerning whether Larry King is just being a tough interviewer to draw out thorough answers, or if he is covering himself from being seen hostile towards the Church.
Thomas Jarvis think he's a secret member.. Lol. Jokes) . Maybe he has Scientology friends that got in his ear 1st, & all though he's not one, doesn't like what she's doing or something... I kind of felt it too.. Like he's got an issue about it
That is how he has always interviewed people. Larry King is from the old school of journalism. The story isn't about him, his opinions, or feeling on the subject.
Norman D 100% agree. If you watch some of his other interviews, he asks tough questions - which prompts the person he’s interviewing to defend/explain their stance. Obviously, his questions come from his own curiosity, but he rarely (if ever) comes off as biased.
One thing never mentioned in all these reveals is that one of the beliefs is that OTs can transfer their conscience spirit intact to a new body. Also, they believe collectively that they can stop a nuclear detonation with their minds. Yes,I was inside the SeaOrg investigating and left when they discovered my intent.
I absolutely love Leah Remini. She is such a strong woman and so admirable. She's not afraid to use her platform to speak out about this fkn cult. I hope her hard work puts a stop to all of this
He wasn't always like that. He used to be quick and sharp. He was in his 80's during this interview. Give the man a break. Anyway, you got your wish, he recently passed away.
Every religion is a cult. Every single one is based upon unverifiable nonsense. Soul insurance- The selling of an invisible policy to protect an imaginary soul.
She’s definitely doing God’s work now. She is so brave. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to stand against the very same thing you’ve been indoctrinated to believe for 35 years. God bless her
