Leah Remini is an actress, producer, author, and comedian. Her new show "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath" is a documentary series that can be seen on A&E.
Thanks! :) As simpel as it's true, when it comes to most of things, specially religion...But then again, if you actually could reason with religious people there wouldn't be any religion to speak about, "only" humanity perhaps...
I watched her TV series on scientology. Scientology picked the wrong person to pick a fight with. She's going all out to show the world how horrible scientology is, and it's working.
Katie Holmes has become a very outspoken provocateur of it as well. My roommate was telling me about hearing her story on a tv show she was watching (it could be the tv show you are referring to) and she said it was terrifying.
It amazes me how Leah was member of that cult from age 9 till age 43, literally her entire life and yet she managed to get out of that circus and with a sane mind
I don't see one comment which says: '' How sick is it that John Travolta is allowed to kill someone and get away with it by protection from the ''church''. Everyone just bla bla bla Leah is so good and Leah is this and is that bla bla bla. Are you all in Scientology too and not allowed to speak about it ?
Steven Berkeboom i know this to be 100% true ... though i doubt its as bad as scientology where the doctrine its self is evil, not just the top practitioner's.... though all religion is bs so... i guess you you pays your money, you take your choice ... though i doubt that scientology would even entertain you unless you had lots of money to pay .Actually i thought that LRH pulled the idea out his ass. but sciontology has a LOT in common with mormonism so he wasn't even original in his own bull shit and stoll most of it from joseph smith . The movie "the god makers" is mormonisms equivalent of "going clear" if your intrested . there was allso a a fallow up to it made in the 90s were a women who was an a "apostate" says to the director on film that if anything happend to her it would be the church that was responsible, she was found dead iin her home before the film was realised and there was other murders involved too. That shit is real fucked up
She broke free from a Cult and is now devoting her life to Freeing others in that Cult. She is a Freedom fighter for others now, what a Good women. 100% Respect!!!
I watched this whole damn thing. I'm so mesmerized by how honest that she is about this whole thing. She is truly using her second chance at life for good. I respect Leah so much!
*Do you realize how many death threats she's received? How often she was blacklisted even in acting because of this? To have been born into scientology but realize it was so toxic, that she CHOSE to leave herself no matter what. Most are terrified and say nothing. I don't even know her and I'm so proud of her. Badass woman.* (Edited only for 2 spelling mistakes)
Leah Remini, or Carrie as I like to call her, is famous for her role in the show King of Queens. Definitely my personal top 3 next to the office and Malcolm in the middle for comedy TV shows
I get a sad feeling that its jargon she grew up with in the cult. Also, she is very specific with arbitrary things that dont really matter, some fragments from her old life baked into her social brain
I was a production assistant on a sitcom that Leah was on. I never knew she was going through this. I loved working with her. She was so funny, and warm. I loved hanging with her backstage after the show. I tried throwing a party inviting the cast and crew of the sitcom. The producers didn't show, but Leah came to my house. I burnt everything, and the group carried the party at the third street promenade. Leah, I'll cherish the times we had together, and wish you all the best. I'm so glad you are doing well. Love, Evan.
@@gaurimann7156 VERY cool indeed... Just DON'T get on her bad side. 😬 Lol...She definitely has GOT to be a lotta work/patience being married to, but yeah I'll always love her. Her husband is a very blessed, lucky guy IMPO.
@TravisPerrine HaHa! I'm appreciative of your blunt comment. Are you talking about Evan or Lea? :) I don't know this situation from ADAM, so I don't want you to think this, a trick question. I'm being genuine, here.
I went from only going to wash these dishes real quick while I play this podcast to deep cleaning my fridge and mopping the floor before I knew it. I loved this story time.
And these bullies are taking advantage of state’s decision that I can’t manage my own income.. so I’m really hungry and very sick and haven’t had any meds for fever in weeks and they are laughing about

As a 21 year old, not knowing much about life, searching for a purpose and a meaning and just wanting to belong somewhere. I remember signing up for this scientology movie night where you're being introduced to the concept of scientology. I was, along with 3 other people, the only one in the whole place. I'm embarrassed to say I was impressed right away. I signed up for a class a few days later and the horror started. I remember we had to sit in a room, not talk to anyone, we weren't even allowed to go to the restroom and ask a question. We received a booklet full of very personal questions and were instructed to answer them all by writing it all down. We had to sit for hours to finish the fase. Afterwards we went to the second fase where we had to work in a team (I don't remember much of that). Then, a few weeks passed, and we were moved to another class where we had to sit next to a classmate but where absolutely not allowed to speak to each other. There was a box on each table full with random stuff like a cube, a feather, a button and so on. We had weird instructions and activities we had to do. It was all so weird but interesting at the same time. Suddenly I was told I will be matched to a buddy. Someone who is higher up and he will help me with all things scientology. This guy, he basically stalked me. I remember the day I got hit by reality and realized this is wrong. I was sitting in a cafe with a friend I haven't seen for a long time. It was the same day that marked the anniversary of scientology or something big... And there was this convention I got invited to and I really didn't feel like going. I wanted to be with my friend. So the buddy texts me like where are you? Are you coming? Hoe long will it be till you get here?? Frantically texting me. I replied saying I won't make it. So he calls me, I feel obligated to answer so I do, to which he proceeds to lash out at me and tell me it's not oke for me to miss this and that I should lie to my friend and tell her there's some kind of emergency and leave etc. He was very upset. I understood and I decided there and then, this is actually not for me. The next morning I called in and said I'm not coming anymore, that I'm quitting this scientology thing. They of course tried to convince me to stay, even saying it's just one big misunderstanding and this buddy called me to apologize. But I was not going back. The next couple of weeks that followed me leaving where freaking weird. There would be big black cars following me randomly and standing by my house and I even received hand written letters asking me how I'm doing and that they're worried about me and I should rethink it and to just write back and tell them I'm fine. It was sooooo weird. I ignored it and after a while, luckily, they stopped. But this bullshit lasted for at least a couple of weeks. Never join a cult. It's draining.
I don't think you should feel sorry, they target people who are experiencing the same things you were on purpose. they're abusive scammers at best and monsters at worst
Hey Bud, you are not alone in this world. I struggled with education growing up. In my late 20s a switch in my head went off. Now, I am a sponge of all things human. Don't ever believe in a system. Believe in yourself, wanting to be a good person.
I was the same way! I was going to go to a “class” but I was broke & couldn’t afford it. I was called every week for months to come to class. Finally, I told the guy I couldn’t afford it. Never heard from them again. You dodged a bullet! No you are not alone!
👉I’ve been waiting to hear a story like yours [outside the publicized stories from I’ve viewed in Films ect]. Intriguing story! Sounds like they went Full Court Press with you immediately… ♦️Glad you were able to get out before they separated you from all your 💴 & free thinking …. ‼️ Thanks for sharing that story👏👏👏👏☯️
bobert1223 I've seen plenty of Italians act this way, even in Italy. They're open and social people. If they like you and your company, they show it. If they hate you and your company, they REALLY show it. It's just a simple observation I've made. Wait, why aren't you going after the person who just said that she acts this way because she's Italian? I just said I came to this conclusion through observations and research done over half of my life. Why don't you present evidence backing up your claims instead of getting all emotional and standing up for a group of people who didn't elect you to represent them? Present evidence, not emotions. I'm waiting.
bobert1223 One more thing: You're the one judging others. How can you tell me something about me when you don't know shit about me? God damn, what dud your parents do to you to make you so angry and miserable? I bet you liked your own comment to make people think you have a good opinion, too.
Leah Remini you genuinely are helping so many. I came across this only because i was actually interested in the organization and trying it out. I would never have known this without you. Its so dangerous not knowing the full understanding you signing yourself up for. I truly appreciate your bravely and for all you are trying to do. IT IS HELPING ❤❤❤ much love
She was denied an education and had to educate herself. She’s done a wonderful job of standing up against the concept of Scientology and showing people how screwed up it is. God bless her an keep her safe.
Leah....I just love you so much. You are such a giving and a REAL NEED to help others. Ever since you've come out about this horrible, EVIL CULT....and you are HELPING THEM IN REAL LIFE! You're so INSPIRING. I am a 65 yrs old white woman who has been born & raised in East Texas. I was brought up going to Sunday School every Sunday....where I was taught by Christian, older, sweet, sweet ladies about all the fantastic stories told about the days that JESUS CHRIST walked the land.....and taught all the "average, normal, people" who walked with HIM....and Realized in their HEARTS....that HE ACTUALLY WAS THR SON OF GOD. How GOD had put HIM ON THE EARTH WITH ALL OF THE AVERAGE, NORMAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE VERY BEST HEARTS IN THIS WHOLE WORLD----the people that are GOOD and DECENT AND HOLD REAL LOVE -- in their souls .....and literally feel the TRUE NEED to EDUCATE every person they meet.....who all wave the flag of this 2 tiered justice system e that is run by the WEALTHIEST ELITES who get to make up every rule & EVERYTHING THAT IS SO OBVIOUSLY wrong and SO ILLEGAL---- because it's all centered around WHO HAS THE MOST MONEY----it is THOSE people who have---NEVER BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE! To me----IT IS ONLY THE VERY FEW0/?
Yeah. It just sounds like a scam to get millions of dollars from celebrities. That's why when you want to get the money back, they refuse and label you an enemy. And they are more lenient with the bigger celebrities that give them more money.
Interesting how many similarities there are huh? There are tactics used by men seeking control and power that are found everywhere during all time. The church and Scientology mirror those same tactics. Don't speak to apostates. Don't study material not approved by us. Follow your leaders. You're better than others("saved") You are chosen over those not in your faith. Memorize and study our doctrine Don't question You're in the right "boat" Etc.
Yes she does. She is throwing her married self on Joe. Too much make-up, nails a bit crazy and being in a community or Cult if it is & seems so.....but she seems mentally affected to me; yet, very smart. I am proud but these women on interviews I think just my opinion would be taken more seriously if the dressed better and waited off screen to do so much flirting. Joe reflected in in previous or maybe this one so well. He is a number one human being.
mean if these persons dressed normal, overdoing nails and make-up makes just saying she appears bi-polar. She has wasted so much money I do feel for her, etc. I am sure Joe is married. The egoS of these movie stars.
@@sourgirrll lmao you're right though. Females especially celebrity females dress nice and wear makeup. Leah is brave to speak her appearance doesn't take away her credibility. Old hag. Lol
Well... the 120 BAD episodes were RIGHTFULLY pulled offline. Encouraging people to get infected, N-word shows, joking about assault were not his better moments. And we all should agree on that.
Good on you, I’ve been following Rogan for a long time now. His topics are wide ranging and I can easily be interested in any person because the long conversation format. Its just real that’s why it’s interesting. Mainstream is glamoured up, sensationalized fake trash and people aren’t buying it anymore. It’s laughable when I hear the smears calling him misogynistic, transphobic or racist. Ridiculous. Happy to hear all this Rogan bashing is getting people to tune in. He’s coming out on top. Rogan is winning and by transitive, so are we.
One of the best interviews I've seen. Not even interested in scientology or anything about it, but hearing her talk about her recovery from it and what she's doing to help other people is awesome. And the adorable accent and mannerisms don't hurt.
Tom is a idiot to let a man tell him what he can & can't do. The fact that he lost his wife & child over a bunch of nut case men is so unbelievable. I mean I've read about it and watched this young lady tell of the horrors she was forced to endure. This guy running it even turned against his parents. When i try to come up with a word that best describes him it " narcissistic bastard ". I hope she is able to expose them for what they are. Liars & stealing people's money !
well she backed him in the sense of saying that him jumping on the coach was nothing to do with scientology and just cause he was being a bit crazy and madly in love
I am floored! I knew a kid growing up who’s Mom was into this, won’t say his name but it was horrible to listen as a teenager what he had to endure, believe I was the only human outside that cult he confided to, he knew he was being brainwashed, he ran away, moved in with his dad and he has been grateful to escaping on his own, ever since. How terrifying. I always think about him and what he told me. I was absolutely terrified of this so called religion as a teen and knew they were not right. We would talk in secret, I hope and pray he is excellent to this day.
She's talking about Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla having balls but it's ten times easier to speak your mind on a podcast than on major tv networks. But then again, you have people like Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson on Fox who are pretty vocal and get away with a lot of things!
I agree with you 100 % i have been trying to expose the heck out of the rest of these hollywood elites who have chosen to turn blind eyes an deaf ears to all of the abuse that's been going on in the sea org ect, I honestly don't understand why or how anyone can support Tom cruise or John Travolta Christy alley Kelly Preston Catherine Bell's, movies or anything there in ? We are basically just helping give even more power and money to people like David miscavige, and Tom cruise who's 2nd in command it's honestly criminal that they are literally getting away with slavery murder ect, no i have been doing everything i can to boycott these hollywood elites Catherine Bell Hallmark the Good Witch was once one of my favorites then i learned that she's a proud practicing supporter of Scientology ever since im trying to boycott any of her work it just breaks my heart that there's so many children who don't have a voice in the sea org there not treated like the Hollywood elites it's so sad i have heard so many horror stories about the sea org not to mention the fact Katie Holmes literally escaped and text Siri just before she went to the sea org ? That speaks volume to me.
@@jordanevans2796 I agree with you. Being part of an Institution for a long time you take on the institution's mindset...their argument. Because when ever you use the institution's argument style against itself there are no answers....
I’d like someone like Leah Remini as a friend bec. she seem like the kind of friend that will stand up for you cause you’re too shy or too afraid to defend yourself.
Forgiven 212 not only did he not kill himself but that wasn’t even him. Look at the death photos and compare to real pics of him. Different nose different ears different hairline. They switched him out.
"I don't get how people looked at the Nazis and thought... yeah this is legit" not saying the two are on the same level, but it's a crazy weird slippery slope when being indoctrinated into crazy shit like this
I just love the "back and forth" relationship Joe and Leah have on the podcast, keeps us interested, gives a humor break (definitely to help with the trauma recall), then back to the info.
absolutely. i like to believe it as a god-wink, or intention. that while you're digesting this stuff, these two people also have this interesting and silly attraction to each other. so perfect.
@@nternetratI thought that too, especially when Leah would low key throw little flirty lines at him MULTIPLE TIMES and Joe comes back with the most dorky answers and stuttering 😂 at first I couldn’t tell if he was just trying to respectfully dodge and decline her attempts, or if he just wanted to speak more professionally since they were on a live podcast. OR if he really did get nervous and wasn’t expecting it like he was shocked and almost literally “Speechless” to have been flirted with as if he’s not used to it, like he’s got a kiddie crush on her and he has trouble talkin to her trying to not say the wrong thing 😂😂😂 ORRRR there are some guys out there who are completely oblivious and don’t even realize when someone’s hitting on them even if they said it out loud, and end up screwing their chance up once their friends tell them “Dude wtf man she was totally hitting on you and your dumb*** really responded with that?!!” lmao 😂😂😂
it is more of a conversation it seems, both share opinions and experiences - whereas an interview seems like one person asking another a set of questions.
I just want to put it out there for the algorithms to catch: we need people like Joe Rogan who have the balls to report on issues like this one and talk to the courageous whistle blowers.
She's very aggressive, her mom seems sweet yet opinionated. Makes since because Leah basically raised herself with other kids in the Church of Scientology. Scientology also teaches aggression and violence hence why Tom Cruise yells so much.
Never liked Cruise, can’t stand his acting, hearing more and more about his cult sickens me Nothing but respect for Leah Remini, it takes strength to admit your mistakes and then stand up to your bullies
Is that what "God" is in the Bible? A narcissistic psycho indeed, and If anyone doesn't think so , they should read Ezekiel, or Enoch of the apocrypha or Genesis etc.. an asshole is an asshole 🤣 and the God(king-s)in the Bible, straight assholes.. don't worship an asshole.
I've always adored Leah since KOQ was on the air...Her coming out against Scientology, knowing the incredibly abusive and hateful things they do, is one of the bravest things I've ever seen a celebrity do. I pray that one day, the IRS finally takes away their tax exempt status and Scientology completely implodes. THAT is how we clear the planet.
@@michaelchiello1946 the majority of other religions are faith based, non abusive in the way scientology is and are a choice. you choose to baptize your kids and they later choose if they want to be confirmed, you dont have to go to church and if you do as a kid its a minor nuisance that you dont have to continue in your adult life if you dont want to. people have access to opposing information and can choose if they want to believe in a certain religions teachings... religion also brings comfort and a sense of belonging and community to plenty of people and is in many cases very cultural. just because you dont believe in something doesnt make it bullshit or bad. Good one! Haha I0wnY0uPL But of course in all seriousness, there's no way a Scientologist could write a report without being severely punished for viewing or listening to disparaging interviews on Scientology.
I'm sure I0wnY0uPL was joking, but he was referring to "Scientologists" writing the reports @Samantha Lindsey since it's their duty whenever they witness someone not behaving in the best interest of the "church." But Leah isn't a member anymore, so she can't be written up. Aside from that they would be punished for listening to negative podcasts, youtubes, etc about Scientology. Just Google "Scientology punishments" and you'll get a full range of cruel and inhumane punishments this organization is known for.
Ovidian - No doubt in my mind, when Joe goes to events where he knows there will be hot women, or when he has a guest on who he knows is attractive, he has a plan to not flirt super hard, because his wife will definitely be checking up on that shit.
Agree, but she realised that she was fishing, and did not catch a fish, then she became her real self! Thankfully because the interview would have been lost had Joe not resisted.

LOL. If you can't see Leah aggressively flirting with Rogan and being politely ignored on that front, you're blind. Literally upset he called her nails nice instead of hot/sexy, after she asked him what he thought about them, in the first five minutes.
I find it amazing that the scios didn't complain about the RiffTraxx treatment of Battlefield Earth. "Some movies have it coming!" And Scientology *definitely* did have it coming!😁😁😁😁😝😝😝🙄🙄🙄

Can’t fault anyone for wanting to look good.
@Sam Bell Pilates She doesn't look like anybody that has had exaggerated plastic surgery. She looks within the normal aspect of an actress that did some filler, some botox but within limit. Her look is her moneymaker. All the famous models today get surgery before 25! Look at Kylie Jenner's lips and compare her to Leah. Leah looks nice and put together. Nothin weird. Reminded me when I talked to a Nun about becoming one, when I was 12. She went on a 45 minute rant. I kept thinking she's gotta eventually stop. And she did, saying any questions young lady. I said what of God and JC, you did not mention them once. Her true colors came out. She snickered, and went back to her subject matter. Scientology is similar to Jehovah Witnesses. I recall having to put in time preaching and being sort of hounded if I was not 'active'. The cult pries on your life and/or why you did not attend the meetings. Cant be tired or take time off. Everything she says is so true and I understand it. Makes no sense to many but when you're IN -you don't see it as clear. Wow! Such an eye opener to this day. I love Leah and I appreciate this interview.
Joe is amazing. He let’s his guests go off on tangents, and succeeds every time in brining the conversation back. He‘s paying attention and digging deep. I don‘t know any other host who can do this so well.
Back in the day Howard stern was really good at it. He definitely directs the convo more when he knows the tangent won't be interesting. But nowadays its way different
"Just because a woman flirts, doesn't mean that she's into a guy unfortunately. Some girls just like to flirt to fish for compliments, get attention, and feel desired." I'm sure this applies two-fold for someone like Remini who seems to have grown up totally suppressed.
