Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., spoke during the opening of confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson in the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday. vtdigger.org
Senator Leahy is irrefutably accurate about Judge Jackson's impeccable credentials, but too polite to his Republican "colleagues". The fact is that the ethically challenged sophistry routinely practiced by the Republicans in this Confirmation Hearing is despicable, as well as a threat to people of good will in the USA.
@@my1viceRacism, beyond the fact that it is the mark of bigotry and willful ignorance, is evidence of Mens rea. "My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah." -- Psalm 57:4-6
@@anthonygelbert3818 And you're a fool..... Actually, no. You're a liar. Because you know my comment is 100% correct, you just refuse to admit it. It is folks like you that are the real racists. By looking down on minorities so much and claiming to the world that it's your duty to help the "least of us".
You are NOT Phil Scott. I hope Phil Scott, the Governer of Vermont, who supports Judge Jackson's nomination, has you prosecuted for impersonation and defamatory hate speech.
