Taken from leaked folders. A shame they took out that part near the end with the pony spirits and the aurora borealis. My Little Pony belongs to Hasbro.
Their faces feel much more expressive when they're hand-drawn and not bound by the limitations of the model rigging of the show models. I get why the case is, it's just a little bit of a bummer.
Question: Were the following animatics available?: Flight to the finish Power Ponies Pinkie Apple Pie Princess Twilight Sparkle Part 1 (I’m trying to do a non-Screen-capture version of the 2013 Comicon Panel, and I kinda need the corresponding clips to do so)
I’m really necroposting, but I’m autistic so I’m going to explain the cool reason why people do this, also in case anyone stumbles upon this video and is curious. It is not at all easy to work on a timed storyboard without hearing the voices first, and in case any modification to the script is made, some lines would need to be re recorded over and over. It is not sustainable to make paid voice actors do lines for scenes that might not end up being used or even needing some words to be changed. It also can make it easier for voice actors to have heard the demo first so that the scripted lines and their intended intonation works well.
