I repair a number of issues, including a leaking 727, a leaking thermostat housing, install an oil catch can, and adjust the 2nd gear band on the 727! #musclecar #moparornocar #projectcars
I love that old b body.... I would just redo the trans lines with ni- copp and keep the rubber lines to a minimum. I got to do that to my 74 charger... And I have a transmission leak in the tail housing cover for the circlip but A&A transmissions make a great billet cover with O ring seal to fix that for good...got a few 727s all of them are getting one... Mopar on!
Thanks man, and yes I have been needing to upgrade that for a long time it’s on my upcoming todo list to redo those cooler lines in metal and re-route away from the header. Yeah that sounds good leaks suck, luckily I think I found mine it’s still dry a few weeks later!
I install those catch cans on all of my Mopars, and they all have one hose hooked up to the carburetor, and the other hose to the PCV valve, not a breather. Your passenger side valve cover has a breather. Secondly, I don't know much about automatics, but I see you don't have your kick-down linkage hooked up. That is very important, but I don't know if they are necessary with a manual valve body or not.
I hear you, I didn’t have a pcv valve and grommet handy so I used a breather to the catchcan and was seeing how that did before swapping an actual valve on the driver side to the catchcan. And my 727 has a reverse manual valve body setup with a hurst promatic shifter kit so no kick down needed, like driving a clutch less manual! Appreciate your comments

@@dogdoc1 not at all! RTV not meant for use with that gasket, but its a benefit because you won't have a mess to scrape off if you ever need to pull trans pan and can just wipe fluid off the trans and pan flange with carb cleaner and re-install. Super good gasket $40 from Moroso. I have one for my ST-400 on my '66 wildcat too.
