Sorry for the long video, it's a update on what things have been done since we started lean one year ago. First lean video link below : • LEAN Implementation in... Latest tour 2023: • JJB Lean Factory Tour ...
All well and good , constant improvement is the game, glean from it what you can,use what works , discard what you don't. But in this topsy turvy world having a lack of inventory or materials is deadly for any company.
What a stellar bunch of employees you have. I have trouble getting people to show up with 2 shoes on…bit of a circus act compared to the organization and order your employees are able to operate under. Hats off to you
Thanks! Everyone on the shop floor has a tablet, used for detailed work instructions, from our production database, also to photograph defects and improvements
Jack, to control the offcuts, not sure it is the correct word 😀, the rests of sheets after laser cutting or guillotine. I see that you number it so that the project room can consider it to be used... it is being very challenging to me to optimize cuts and scrap metal sheets and profiles... any advice?
@@JackBusseyUK what about the others small pieces. Sell as scrap is not lean ... 😣 but I cant figure out a way to use every piece of steel. Please comment.
Everything is cyclical: Being too busy with work to lean will not lead to any standardization or continued improvements which will eventually lead to failure but... Standardizing and continuously improving (throughout) each day will guarantee less waste involved with the each process involved with that "too busy to lean" work which only leads to more free time to CI and/or perform more work in the same amount of time = success!
