She is the person who started me on my first ever attempt at cutting almost 65 days ago. Since then I’ve lost almost 11 pounds, hard to say how much BF% but all my clothes fit well for once. Life is getting better and I credit LBP for inspiring me The two videos that got me going were the beginners guide to machines, and her video on supermarket / diet routine
Same! I've started working out about a month ago and I'm really enjoying it. While noticeable physical differences are yet to come, I've been feeling much better and Patty has been a great source of inspiration to not only keep going but to keep pushing.
@@Renanbso right on, I count the “feeling better” part as progress because it affects how you socialize, how you see yourself. I’m predicting things will get harder as we get leaner but good to see another fellow traveler on the journey
Hi Patty. I'm not sure if you're going to see this comment but I want to thank you. For a long period of time I have struggled with ed, more specifically anorexia. It was easily the toughest time of my life but you are the main reason I could change my mindset and overcome it. Now I can eat guiltless and have energy to workout. You are such an inspiration to me and I hope I can hug you one day! Much love from Brazil ❤️
thank you for sharing!!! I know all too well how difficult a struggle like that is, so i'm very proud and happy for you that you've been able to overcome it! It's definitely not easy...I am also honored that my content helped you do so!!! 🙏🙏 keep up the great work!💪
Agreed. I was just doing these this morning, and work up from 7 1/2 pounds to 17.5 pounds each hand. That’s about my max for reference, I weigh 155 pounds and I’m in pretty decent shape. Respect.
@@jessd3601 I didnt use to do any mobility/stretching before or after my workouts and last month I strained my right adductor really bad. Had to take complete rest for 10 days because it used to hurt to walk or do any leg movement, it was like a sharp stinging pain which is unbearable. Started doing 5-10mins mobility work before all workouts and im doing good now.
I am 55 years old and weight trained since the age of 14 or so. I have yet to ever see light hearted and fun to watch training videos such as yours. Like you I am a rare person who actually loves to train! I never dread a workout as I always feel blessed that I was given a healthy body from the Good Lord that allows me to follow my passion! We need more enthusiasts such as yourself to promote the sport by showing it is not meant to be taken to serious! Get to the gym and to heck with what anyone else thinks and be the best you that you can be! And have fun and never take yourself or your training to serious! People need to smile more at the gym and loose that meathead mentality. Have fun at it and you will be hooked for life!
Thank you for being such a positive example, Patty. Your positivity and view on working out is so needed in the gym community, it’s why many get scared to start working out. It’s so tiring seeing all the toxicity in the gym community, especially from men, but you show us that working out doesn’t have to be competitive or toxic! So please keep on doing you, and thank you again!!!
yes please more upper body workouts 👏🏼 I thoroughly enjoy them and could definitely use more considering so many female fitness RU-vidrs only focus on legs and core
Patty, you reminded me how good it feels to go to the gym. Your positivity and energy just shine through in your videos. I had a pretty hard year with my mental health, and it’s been tough to keep an exercise routine. Plus I usually lose even more motivation in winter. But Patty, you’ve inspired me to get back to it- I’ve been going to the gym for 2 weeks!!!
I loved it when Patty said 'It's Pattying time' and rode handsome boy into battle to bring beefpatties to the world. Truly the most inspirational moment in cinematic history. The warcry 'code BEEF!' will forever ring in my ears.
Thank you so much. Its so helpful to see someone so far into their fitness journey show just how awkward fitness is every step of the way. Really helpful to beginners in realizing "lift to failure" doesn't mean "feel like a failure" when you can't do it.
It might be cool to see an unedited gym session. You know just as a one off, so that we can get an idea of how long a good session should be, and how long a warm-up and sets should take, etc. Love what you do, you're so cool.
All that information is available online. It is going to change depending on your schedule and goals. I would say 5-10 minutes for warming up, 1 to 1.5 minutes rest between sets, and 5 minutes of stretching at the end. The length of the workout depends on total number of sets, and how long it takes to set/clean up each exercise. I mostly work hythropathy so my rest periods stay in the aforementioned time. The rest times are longer if I am working on strength, usually 3-5 minutes between sets.
Gotta say love your mobility exercises, as a dude my mobility was shit, but after doing some of the exercises you're doing it helped me a lot with mobility and even recovery, work and in general. Could you do a specific mobility video?
That and the first way is actually not wrong. It makes for a good accesory lift if you want to get good at muscle ups. Its just not a pure lat isolation. The longer you do this shit the more you find out that ways different to yours are most of the time good for something
"If you realize you're currently making mistakes, it's nothing to be ashamed of, because you know you don't know until you know" - Leanturtlepatty That's why i love you so much patty 😭❤
i feel like your content has got to be some of the most approachable and safe-feeling gym content out there rn! love to see you lookin out for the new lifters in your videos :)
What a wonderful work out, I actually did a very similar one today except I did dumbbell shoulder presses as well. MS makes it harder to workout (overheating causes an exacerbation of neurological symptoms) so I got to make things work with the dumbbell set I have, and spread the work out across a longer period of time so I don't suddenly lose the ability to walk, which does happen but I go back to normal once I cool down. I am making progress despite my body fighting me every step, it will be really nice when things chill out a bit more :D
Doing softball for school this year and we have to workout/lift weights and patty is totally getting me psyched about this. thanks, I appreciate the chill gym content and love your commentary and editing style
It’d be crazy cool to see a vid of you just hanging with the dog for the day. Maybe hiking with him or something. I think the combo of animals, nature, and Patty would create interesting events😂
Hii patty! Just wanted to say that you're such a help. I find it hard to find a relatable fitness influencer. You're so funny and make content that's NOT intimidating. Thank YOUUUu
A few comments as I spend my morning watching various videos of yours. 1. I love your glasses. So dashing & suit you very nicely. 2. Not trying to draw attention to something you might feel self-conscious about but seeing your acne helps me realize mine is not a big deal because you're still gorgeous so maybe-just-maybe so am I?? 3. I did the foam roller spine angels a couple nights ago and damn near Oed - yeah, those are fkn great, especially since I work a desk job so my mouse arm-shoulder-neck-back connection is allllll jacked up (also because I sit in my chair all twisted up like a psychopath and refuse to change my ways).
this video is a little old so idk if youll see this but i just wanna say your videos help me so much, i love watching and learning from you, it makes me so excited to go to the gym soon!!! i struggle with a sucky an*rexia cycle and im seriously trying to recover this time, youre so inspiring :)
I love your vids. Just got back to living a fitness lifestyle after lockdown slacking and you've put that bit of whimsical laid back fun into it that I've been missing and I love your stupid meme humor. Thanks patty!
I don’t attend the gym at the moment but (home work out) I always thought that shoulders and back being done like together was perfectly normal. I’m glad you do too 😅
I've always neglected mobility workouts, my warmup and cardio were not enough as well, and when I think that those are probably some of the basics/fundamentals that you should focus on just as much as the rest of the work... I have to step up my game. Cheers for the great video again! Adios!
Вы не знаете того, чего не знаете, пока не узнаете это😆 Я долго тебя смотрю и благодарен что появились русские субтитры Ты молодец, очень редко можно увидеть девочек которые стараются в зале❤
You don't know what you don't know until you know it 😆 I've been watching you for a long time and I'm grateful that Russian subtitles have appeared You're doing great, it's very rare to see girls who are trying in the gym ❤
Oh my god, your doggo is so freaking cute. Also even at 19, when my test levels were naturally their highest, I could only do lateral raises with 30's so you using 25's is amazing. Keep up the work! Love your stuff.
Lat pull downs are my favorite. I'd warm up with 100 pounds and work my way up to 150 pounds, sometimes 170. My forearms would hurt because I'd have an absolute death grip on the bar. Keep up the good work, I'm literally a month late to this vid
Patty I just want you to know that you are the only person whose videos for some reason I am able to completely watch to the end.Greetings from Nicaragua. I love you!!
Seeing the direct comparison to your old video was crazy. You've upped 'production value' a lot recently while still keeping the hilarious vibe and editing. Much more consumable and relatable! Ofc always do what you want but don't feel like you ever need to change that style :p
Thank you for your new video, Patty! I'm just start working out recently and you inspire me very much. I used to think I don't need to work out bc I eat healthy foods on usual, but when I got to see you, I was like 'dayum woman body can get that muscular!? She is so cool I want to be like that too!' and I started with weightlifting at home. There's a boxing gym nearby so I just start hitting the place as well. I'm an artist and had never been a sporty person, so first time at boxing class went like hell thinking 'i'm dying wtf i'm doing here???' (I was so tired and got nausea 😂) But seeing your video made my day and inspired me to keep pushing💪(I'm gonna get back there and torturing myself again) I love your video editing too, it's goofy and lighted heart that got me giggled every time. I wish you all the joy and fun. Thank you again!
Caffeinated Patty is hyper. I like it. (And I will never forget that pull video "pullups beat pulldowns with core engagement."). But easy to forget almost a year ago
Even though this video was posted yesterday, I'm watching it on a Monday. Watching some Patty on a Monday morning before work is the best. Thank you for all the knowledge and entertainment. I hope the Christmas season treats you well. Just an idea for a video maybe a shopping video? or a Christmas week vlog showing us what you like to do during the holidays? Anyway have a great day! Love ya!
@leanbeefpatty this was great! I did this right along with you and by the end of my superset I had veins popping out my arms I didn’t know I had! 😅 Thanks for the great video. 💕
I really enjoy your daily-life vlogs and grocery vlog, it would be nice to see some new of them, I usually watch these videos during cardio, both are 10-12min))) Love you, have a nice day❤️
She is the real deal and has a good sense of humor - very impressive and I think she is natural in my opinion but that doesn’t really matter to me because that means you have to be even more consistent and workout even more (if you aren’t natural that is but like I said I think she is natural) - I’m a guy and this lady is an inspiration and I really enjoyed the video
for chest supported row: stand behind the bench that has like 30 to 45 degree incline and lean your chest on the edge. so you dont have to wobble your way on the bench
Yet another awesome vid from you Patty. I actually went to the gym yesterday for the first time in a long while, and it made me feel so much better afterwards. Also, It feels like I have gotten my butt kicked and it's great. I'll keep this up from now on.
I love watching these so much, I don't have any nice gyms out here sadly, so I do your 10 minute ab workout religiously 😂😂 Watching you gives me motivation 100%
