I was called to assist with at driver that had disconnected from her trailer at the instruction of the tire technician, trailer slid off the cribbing and left her in a predicament!!

I will say my small medium duty wrecker teaches me a lot... especially working angles and managing tight spaces, I have a International 4600 with a 10 ton Century body on it and I think about all the time if it had a longer boom or if it could rotate things would be so much easier, but at the end of the day it still gets the job done.

My favorite truck to get out and play with is our 16 ton! Not only does it impress me every time I use it with its capabilities but it really makes me think to get the job done!

Great job. Truckers job use to be primarily men over 40. Now we have a variety of people driving. I wanted to be a truck driver at one time about 25 years ago when I was 40. 🚚 🚛

Forgive me for saying so but they shouldn't be driving a truck if they don't know whether they have a dump valve. It just seems that so many people get it trucking license and they shouldn't get it if they can't identify all the parts of the truck. But it's just my personal thoughts! Great job!

Lol came here from watching Ron Pratts channel while the tator is cool there is a lacking of straight stick due to the rotator being what he operates and is the star of his channel Definitely subscribed cant wait to see what ya find next stay safe out there i run i24 alot for,CFI so ill keep an eye out for ya and give ya some room

Im not sure how it all worked out in the end.. I got paid and thats what matters!! I don't disagree technically, but then again should the driver be attempting to leave a loaded trailer on an off ramp either? can look at it multiple ways I suppose.

Two questions 1) If a trailer has the super singles, can you just bolt on some dual wheels? When is that rotator coming in?

Yes you can but temporarily as the tires will wear wierd due to the difference in footprint

Dual tires are taller than super singles, on a trailer, for a short distance and in a pinch they would work. On a tractor absolutley not, they would destroy the rear ends as one side would be spinning faster than the other due to the difference in tire size.

Well that was interesting first off where was the tire guy ???? that made a huge costly mistake ???? also putting the Blame on the driver too ... second you are !00% correct on what you said is it worth the investment on spending HUGE amount of money buying a Rotator ???? the answer is Yes and No the other thing you said losing your skill set on using a Straight stick and thinking outside the box and using your Brain instated of a computer BOY i can say a lot about that ...i am NO TOW OPERATOR of any KIND you did a BANG UP job lifting that Trailer close to 18 tons on 27 ton wrecker i for got how many tons your wrecker is and did a nice job putting it back on blocks on a busy off ramp with a straight stick BUT the best part sad to say all that trash you walked in is just a Huge HUMAN SEWER PIT of everything and never complained and did your job to the best you can and was very polite with the Driver .Take care always looking for your next video a HUGE THUMBS UP from Rhode Island

Thanks for the kind words!! The tire guy came back just before I got done and actually brought them food LOL. I beleive we will have a rotator in the near future, we have looked at a few and have taken classes on operating them. We are more or less just getting ourselves prepared and trying to find that right one to fit all of our needs. We talk about it weekly.
