In this video I head out with Richard and Brent to scope out a new double black trail and get in some good trail riding.
My videos are being uploaded out of chronological order lately, this is from the weekend after Let It Ride 3 for anyone wondering.
My footage from the race weekend is sparse and I'm having trouble getting stoked on it / finding a way to present it that makes any sense lol.
This is also obvi before I broke my clavicle on the onewheel.

5:14 Recon ride of TMB (Double Black Diamond)
15:35 Underdrive to Redundant (Fence Gap, Black Diamond)
21:53 Jumping Mouse (Mostly small jumps, Blue trail)

Saying that you're bad at starting and bad at passing people was hilarious 😂

It’s so true tho 🤣 my race starts are terrible, I don’t have much experience going zero to full torque I like being smooth haha but I get left behind immediately and always gotta play catch up

@@trubttam I get it I also don't like not seeing what's ahead of me but it's part of the game I guess. Btw it's cool to see that you're enjoying the lynx to the point of saying the best wheel you've ever had I hope my lynx lasts for years to come 😅

Did you get 66lb suspension for your lynx?
@trubttam

Yeah, I unfortunately rebuilt one of my shocks a bit poorly and in my next video you’ll see the result. I also think that’s why there’s some louder knocking sounds after the first trail. Basically the inside parts were only threaded a little instead of all the way and I ended up busting thru the small amount that was mated. But 66lb has been much better for my ~170lb non geared weight

@@trubttam wow, was it difficult to rebuild? I wasn’t sure if 66lb would be too stiff or if 62lb would be too soft. I am also 170lb without gear. I do mostly street but feel like i can adjust it for trails later on.

@@NemoEUCwasn’t that difficult but there are definitely a few tricks to make it easier. The hardest part is trying to compress the spring so that you can thread a top and bottom piece together, I messed up and ended up unthreading a the parts a bunch when I was releasing the spring. I’ll probably make a vid about it when I put everything back together but I’m out with a broken collarbone for a while.

Will lynx be able to carry me, I'm 126 kilograms?

Easy

The product description says up to 120kg. I would imagine the extra 6kg won’t be too big of a deal, go with the 70lb suspension option and be careful as you learn the limitations if you get one. It is incredibly powerful, I would expect it to support you in most cases just be careful doing any steep hills or going up curbs until you get a feel for its capabilities.
