Leapmotor C10 2024 in-depth Walkaround
The Leapmotor C10 is a five-seat SUV designed to compete with Li Auto's Li L7 at about half the price. It is Leapmotor's first global model, debuting at the Munich auto show in September 2023, and went on pre-sale in China on January 10, 2024. The C10 EREV is 4,739 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2,825 mm.
The Leapmotor C10 features an LFP battery pack made by CALB, one of China's leading LFP battery manufacturers, with a capacity of 69.9 kWh. This battery powers a single electric motor that produces 170 kW (231 hp), providing the vehicle with a range of 530 km, presumably measured by the CLTC standard.
However, the battery's weight is a significant factor, with a gross weight of 550 kg, a common drawback of LFP packs. For comparison, a 97.6-kWh ternary (NMC) battery from CATL used in the Exeed Exlantix ET (Sterra ET) weighs 524 kg. The curb weight of the Leapmotor C10 ranges from 1,940 kg to 1,965 kg.
