What a nice little bird with big airplane feel. I flew them when they were brand new, with the cracking one piece windshield and the normal growing pains. Haven't followed them since. I hope all of those early woes have been worked out. Similar to the A-model A-320, plenty of issues there but a lot of fun. Good to see the -45 has survived.
Hi there Anthony. Yeah... We bought our first in 2000, then launched the 70 line in 2013. We had a lot of issues back in 2001 with ours, but it is now a very refined airframe, that still hold its ground. Kinda like the 320, a very refined flying machine.
Cool video there! Nice plane. I have a question, quite picky one as well. I was wondering, how tall is the F/O? Im being offered a job in a 45XR but I was once in one to see the cockpit, and I saw I could barely fit. This freaks me out as I can't go and see the plane as the owner doesn't have it yet. Im 6ft4-6ft5 (1,95CM). It seems quite cramped against the roof.....Does the seat go down? Pedals forward? Sorry for the picky question! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H-gPSurpDiE.html
You are definitely on the high end of fitting. I am 6'2" (184cm) and while I dont have any issues my copilot is 2 inches lower than me, and the seat can go down, but you might not feel very comfortable on a 4 hrs trip. Pedals do go forward so once you are in they can be adjusted, but getting in and out might be a bit of fun. The 70 is actually a bit worse as the pedestal is wider and there are a few wemacks in the way. The best advice would be for you to try it. You in the EU? You might find a crew in a 45. XR's are just a new cabin and BR engines. Were you in my area I would let you try it on for size. :)
@@ebrabaek I'll start off by saying, THANK YOU! Thats what I call a reply! Ok, so, yeah im scewed. Guess being tall and slim works well for other stuff, bot for a L45! Hahaha. The copilot is shorter than you? DAMN, thought he was taller. Ok so seat and pedals adjust but can be a bad position for long flights..... got it Did not know that about the 70, but now that you mention it, I'll keeo the owner away from the 70! LOL Im based in Ecuador, South America, but it might be too late by when I hit the US, I think It would be for my initial. I guess im gonna have to buy some flying shoes with no heels to fit even better! LOL They will be deciding on the purchase tomorrow, so, Ill keep you posted and if so, Ill add videos on my channel! :D Thanks for the great reply my friend! Let me know if you come this way!
@@willorge Where ever you are at, see if you can track down a parked 45. Just ask the crew if you can try to sit in the front. Were you to walk up to my ship. I would certainly do that. That is really the only way to find out for sure.
@@ebrabaek Being like you in aviation, is something I do, and it pays be. Being a good person in simpler words. But yeah, hell, If we could meet and do that that would be awesome but were quite apart!! GA is so small here in Ecuador, so SMALL, but SO SMALL its crazy, and my friend in a 45 was here last week but this was not a part of the plan. I will have to think of something! Thanks again, I will keep you posted, if not, subscribe and we will be in touch!
@@willorge Ecuador.... I see, yeah that might be a looooong way to travel to Colorado. Well hopefully this will work for you. I wish you the best luck.
Strange video. I appreciate the effort, but very few shots of the panel, none of the aircraft itself, no sound other than crew conversation... but the shots outside were nice.
I only had one camera back then. If you follow the recent flight videos, you will find preflight, aircraft being towed out of the hanger and be as it may only in 1080p, panel video for takeoff and landing. In addition, there is now ATC audio on the video.
