I am a Behavioural Optometrist in South Africa and I have recently added Syntonics to my VT clinic from Syntonac, BUT I don't want to be as good as you in utilising it for my patients and don't want to get stuck on using Basic Syndrome Syntonics!!! Please advise if you are giving class ?

Hi, great question! It is also one that others have asked in different ways. But it is not the same thing. Light although may appear to be a certain color is dramatically different and sits on an incredibly large range of frequencies. Even the colors you see on your monitors or TV are 99% likely not to be true colors. Proof of this is that professional graphic designers or video editors have to specifically calibrate their devices for true color and even that is an approximation. Still, even if that was the case, the filter is designed for specific refractive indexes and come in over 60 variations (most of which we use unlike most clinics), so a simple green or red to create the same effect is not close to being similar besides other things involved and required in therapy. But as an experiment, you may try staring at a green or red for several months to see if it makes an esotropia better, for instance, and you would find it would not. I’m sure you hate answering individual questions , but I recently started this , except I have a light that I put colored glass in,,,I’m using blue red then yellow green. I have a permanent brain injury from whiplash. I have convergence issues and have lost peripheral vision. I’m also doing a computer program from a company called HTS. A week into these programs I became anxious and couldn’t sleep. Have you head of this causing anxiety ?
Yes, this is common. Probably centers around that you are using too many filters for brain injuries. This can be not helpful in your case. Hi Julie! Your channel is astonishing! I am very interesting in these syntonics! I knew about vision therapy because I got prescribed by a posturologist postural insoles ( my left side is lower than right side, flat feet and bruxism) I also got prescribed vagal stimulator and finally Brock's string with 3d syntonic (red and green). So how many syntonics do exist? how can I get them? I know they're tailored for each person but they cannot hurt right? I live in Spain. Thanks a lot!
Per Dr. Julie: There are quite a few different filters for syntonics (not sure of the exact count but at least 30). They are quite powerful and do stimulate nerves, blood flow, muscles, the autonomic nervous system and even chemical reactions so we would not just recommend that people get a set for themselves and “tinker” with them.
@@visontherapy So you wouldn't recommend that ppl get a set for themselves to "tinker" with them BUT the inventor of this therapy does it offering a kit with a workbook in order to not "tinker" and do it right. Have a nice day!
@@comdedegodo Thats is certainly an interesting perspective. For many reasons including other severe contraindications and worsening of the current state, we do not suggest anyone tinker with their eyesight, brain 🧠 or nervous system, but it’s a free world. Why does that even sound like a worthwhile option when the word “tinker” is used with something so sensitive and invaluable? Besides the light therapy is only on piece of the Vision corrective therapy. There is also a reason a license is required to practice Optometry. For anyone wishing to tinker, we wish them well.
