I've looked at several videos like this. I have a question, when teaching Amharic why won't Amharic teachers slow phrases down so the student can adapt to the sound structure. I've studied other languages and they will do it. But not Amharic. My husband is ethiopian and I can't get him to slow down and annunciate so I can capture the sounds. It's frustrating. Sometimes I wonder if Amharic speakers don't understand that there are sounds withing Amharic that are extremely difficult for English speakers because the sounds don't exist in our language. I studied Arabic for 4 years, it's alot easier than Amharic. I think Amharic, mandarin and south Asian languages have to be the most difficult in the world. Japanese is easy.

Just slow down the video using the RU-vid settings to slow the speed. It may sound weird but it might help?
