I, personally, take oaths very seriously. Because I place high value on my word and integrity. And when I make an oath I do everything within my own power to fulfill it. But I'm human, I make mistakes, sometimes unknowingly. But that's okay, just move on from the mistake and learn from it. So I wholeheartedly agree with you and I wish more people had common sense like this.

I have almost took an Oath, and didnt because I was hesitant. Turns out it was a good decision. An Oath is VERY serious.

Bravo! Great to see the "Learn as you Gothi" series return, Mine Góði! Queation. Do you believe seeking balance is essential in the context of oaths, particularly in situations where one might be deceived into committing to an oath that demands much from you but little from the other party? Perhaps you realize the other party’s intentions were questionable? In such instances, do you think one's honor is less compromised if you decide to break away from the oath? I'm not proposing this as a justification for breaking an oath in general, since I recognize that this rationale will always serve as a pretext.
