Very original, I'm here tryin out Chinese because I have a friend from childhood friend i wanted to impress but I have more Korean friend and find Korean more easy to pick up. But I'll keep trying. Thanks for the entertaining lessons.
Peggy... Love your energy and your hair! You make excellent videos. The only things that can make them better perhaps: (1) Include the simplified characters and Pinyin for the words of each lesson in the "more info" panel, (2) draw your accents from right to left (audience perspective). You'll find it quite easy and natural after a minute or two of practice. Xie xie, Peggy!

Peggy! Have you uploaded any exercise to speak fluently? Like tongue twisters for example, in Mandarin to get used to the tones. I can pronounce each separate part of a word but if I have to pronounce the whole word or phrase fast, it is hard for me. Thanks Peggy, I love your videos. I am learning a lot from them.
it would depend i think. Taiwan and hong kong use traditional, china uses simplified. It depends on where u want to go. But most of taiwan and hong kong can read simplified as well

Tell you what - you should be in some comedy sitcom :) Very useful lessons - I wish you would use accents rather than numbers but that's just my preference. I suppose it will make me learn the number system!

I am interested in learning Chinese for business and international conversation. I understand it is a difficult undertaking because the characters are unfamiliar to westerners. Does Rosetta Stone have such a program, or what do you recommend? Is it hard to learn what pitches are expected for words. I had a Taiwanese childhood friend who explained that like English, some syllables or words had several meanings depending on the musical pitch or tone of voice used to say it.

Hi Peggy. Is kun4huo4 use in taiwan only or is also use in mainland china? The word I learn for confuse is 糊hu2涂tu2 so I am kind of confuse. Also is kai1xin1 use same as kuai4le4 or one is use more often the other?
Don't listen to Zanni Yeah. That's nonsense ("only old people write traditional". he/she doesn't have a clue". I think the best would be able to "read" both. traditional and simplified. To make it easier for you, you could try to focus on "writing" simplified characters but always try to remember the traditional character too.
