You mentioned about not having two verbs together as in 'you kaihui' in 'Do you have a meeting tomorrow?' Yet in the next sentence 'Are you going to attend a meeting tomorrow' you have 'yao' then 'kaihui' I know that 'yao' can be used for the future, but is it used in this context as 'want' if so, then there are two verbs together. Thanks.

Thank you so much for making me realize the mistakes I would have made. I learnt how to say almost all the sentences thanks to Pimsleur. So, I knew immediately that the word order, in those ungrammatical sentences, was weird even though I didn't know why. But if I was nervous or speaking to a native, I would have made these mistakes as I will be translating from English to Mandarin.

你几岁， according my chinese teacher, it is ok to use for asking adult age. , 你几岁了 can be and is used all age. Asking 你几岁了 and getting 13 back is perfectly normal and accepted. Also asking 你多大了 and getting 5 back is also normal. According my Teacher, The important difference is 你几岁了 is less formal than 你多大了. So adults of same age/status can easily ask 你几岁了 to each other, even in their 80s, but you'll see it less used when asking people with higher status.

1.You should ask your Chinese teacher "what's the difference between 几 and 多少？" 2.You can go and find a native Chinese adult and ask him 你几岁了 to see what happens. 3.Nobody is always right. You need to think and test by yourself.

Thank you for another great video. My comment on #13: "Huiyi" means meeting. I think if "hui" is replaced with "huiyi," it would be clearer for chinese learners. "Hui" is normally a linking verb.

We do say 会hui as a noun a lot. 会议Huiyi is conference which sounds bigger and more formal.

你多大了 is still a mocking way in some context. 你多少岁了(to some one looks similar or younger)/您多少岁了(to some one older) are safest ways to ask.

I noticed that you pronounce 岁 like “swee” and I’ve been taught to pronounce like “sway”. Are both of them good?

It sounds more like "sway" when you pronounce it alone and more like "swee" in a sentence to shorten it.
