Thank you Sean! One crucial addition here: The Eb9 is actually an Eb13#11 to my ear. I noticed your voicing didn't quite grab the tense sound of the chord present in the original. After some experimenting, I found it was the #11 of the Eb (A note) that made a huge difference. Putting the 13th in there (C note) allowed for a quartal/fourth voicing up top. Here's my voicing: Eb-A-Db-G-C-F I also noticed this could be viewed as an F9b13/Eb (third inversion). This chord is new to me but will add it to the arsenal! Could resolve to Bbm or Abmaj.
