Thank you Sean! One crucial addition here: The Eb9 is actually an Eb13#11 to my ear. I noticed your voicing didn't quite grab the tense sound of the chord present in the original. After some experimenting, I found it was the #11 of the Eb (A note) that made a huge difference. Putting the 13th in there (C note) allowed for a quartal/fourth voicing up top. Here's my voicing: Eb-A-Db-G-C-F I also noticed this could be viewed as an F9b13/Eb (third inversion). This chord is new to me but will add it to the arsenal! Could resolve to Bbm or Abmaj. Thank you for all you do 🙏🏼
Yep.... This comes directly from Parris Bowens' song "Avengeance" from 2012. The move is the main theme of his song which is still on Soundcloud. Original was in Eb.
@@SeanWilsonPiano I learned a lot from you and still learning... Please PLEASE breakdown Quennell Gaskins Amazing Grace in B major ... I got the first part of video but when he played his version of the song I couldn't go there with him ... Hook us up Goat Wilson ...
We love you soo much bro. You look so humble and very annointed...you are so so goooood .You deserve 200k subscribers honestly...ALL your materials are VERY DOPE
That's awesome. I have a suggestion maestro. Can you do one full tutorial a month for whatever song that you choose in it's entirety from beginning to end or one verse and a chorus.. From there, a lot of us would understand better and replicate it to other keys etc.
I will not be doing a full tutorial once a month for RU-vid. I do a full tutorial once a month for members of my website and I show highlights of the song to my RU-vid audience.
Great work Sean... Am I the only one that noticed this progression is “based” on the signature riff from Donnie McClurkin’s “I Call You Holy”....This riff is that on steroids..great work brother..
