Learn English tenses: today we are working on the future tense. We will look at the four future tenses so that you can easily talk about your upcoming plans in English.
ANSWERS
Here are some possible answers to the questions posed in the video to help you write out your answers.
1. “What are you doing this weekend?"
“**I’m hosting** a barbecue for a few friends. It’s been a while, so I’m really looking forward to it!” (Planned and organised event)
“**I’ll be studying** for my final exams! (What you’ll be in the middle of)
2. “What are your plans for your holiday this year?”
“Oh, *I’ll probably* just head to the coast, soak up the sun and maybe finishing off a book or two.”(Future with will, not 100% sure)
“I’m really excited about trying the local cuisine and I’m *going to visit* some historical sites.” (Planned event)
3. “Are you doing anything Saturday evening, I need someone to pick me up from the airport.”
“I’m free that evening, so no problem! Just send me your flight details and *I’ll be* there.” (Future with will, spontaneous)
“I might be able to, **what time is your flight?**” (asking about a scheduled time, present simple)
“I’d love to help out, but *I’m having* dinner with my friends! (Organised plans)

Thank you Anna, I'm in London at the moment and today I will enjoy myself visiting your town. I m going walking all around trying British food and immerging myself in the London atmosphere. We start our tour after breakfast and at lunchtime we have a typical Sunday roast. AT This time tomorrow I will be captivating by the beauty of hampstead heat. So I must go! Have a lovely Sunday!

Hello Mrs, I want to practice with the tenses that you teach. For this weekend I'm going to join grammar class, and also watching drama. But I think I'll go out to library, because the exhibition starts at 8 p.m. I'll be looking for their creation! Thank you.

Hi Anna, I'm a little surprised that you make such little difference between going to and present continuous. All the course books I know and use (even those that prepare students for Cambridge exams) say that going to is used for intentions and plans which are just in your own head, whereas the present continuous is used as soon as an arrangement has been made with someone else (bookings, appointments etc.). I would also like to know why you used going to when you explain the simple present and compare it to setting an alarm on your phone - which is a lovely comparison by the way: "once it's set, it's going to happen". What kind of usage is this? I'd love to hear from you. Many thanks in advance!

Dear Anna thank you for the lessons; so here you are my homework : - what are you doing this weekend? ah, not much planned! I'll probably do my workouts according to the video of my favourite pilates instructors and then I'll do my reading in a deck chair on my balcony if the day is sunny and warm.

1. "What are you doing this weekend?". Euro 2024 has started. I'm going to watch the games. 2. "What are your plans for your holiday this year?" I'm going to go to a sea. 3. "Are you doing anything Satuaday evening? I need someone to pick me up at the airport." I don't have any important plans for Saturday. I'll pick up you. Did I write everything correctly?
