He is waaaaaay too slooooooooow. His method will take me 50 yeeeeeeaaaaarrrrrsssss to learn. There can be a better way to teach. He spent 5 hours and I disliked . It’s like Chineze people that work an hour to produce a $0.01 item. Waste of material and time consuming.

Dude, same (sorta). I know more French now than 1 and a half years of Spanish in school. Two different languages but you can obviously tell the difference between learning with Vincent and learning with teachers at school.

I moved to a fairly French community in 2018 in Northern Ontario but have been too lazy to learn French. I also find trying to learn a language in my 40s is a lot harder then it was in elementary school. But it’s definitely something I want to do while I wait to get called back to work in the public service.

No need for a class. This lesson is amazing. I speak intermediate french and I can say that this lesson is all you need to start. The only thing that you will miss is people interaction which could be in a class but if you live in a French speaking country then go down to the street and speak in French, make mistakes and learn. You will speak in no time. Also let the information sink in your head. The more time passes, the better you will understand the language. Don't get demotivated if in the first month(s) you are not understanding or able to express yourself.

I don't think French is that hard, you have to be patient and hard-working but nothing in your life you will achieve an easy way anyway. It also feel better to learn it than just give up if you really want to learn it. 💯 accurate even if u make smallest mistake in prononciation they pretend they didn’t understand you! I was speaking with the teacher of my son and we were talking about having a bread with a soup as lunch and I instead of saying du pain I said le pain and it took me 5 min to explain the food that he will eat with the soup le pain and still pretended didn’t understand at the end she said oooh du pain I was like wat?? Many times happened with me

@@melo15813 I do remember some phrases cause I also watched other videos, but it's just not that simple. I realized you can't completely learn other language if you won't apply it. You need to have someone to talk to with the same language

Yep... you will make it... have some breaks when you feel that you are not fully concentrated. Take the time to read your notes and make lists of vocabulary, use a dictionary and check when I don't translate everything. Try to rewrite my senteces and start to build your own too. You will make it... no worries about that!

Start reading as soon as possible. I would even go as far as to start reading japanese manga translated in french since you can tell what is going on from the images. Obviously dont only read but reading is the best way to learn vocabulary. You have to know the words: and, this, that, is, etc so you can tell what words are actions or nouns but you dont have to know all of them. They are the most common words so you will subconciously notice that they are in every single sentence that you read anyways. Once you know those words you will be able to guess based on context what is being said. The: le/la This: ce/cette That: ce/cette To: à And: et Is: est Or: ou Him: lui Her: elle Me: moi Them: eux google translate says this one is "leur" but it means "theirs". I: je, j' Am: suis usually ~J'~ and ~suis~ are combined to make ~j'suis~ which literally translates to I'm. Download the app called Anki and make flash cards with these words on them. Words that end with é and er are said the same. Dont worry about those when starting to read, tbh I didnt learn the difference until I was in 6th grade. Dont worry too much about the verb conjugations they are a waste of time to learn at the start, there are just too many exceptions. You will notice patterns.

Perfect, thank you! I already know some basics but it's more of a muscle memory rather than knowing French. I can read "primitive" French, which doesn't require too many tenses or vocabulary and can construct sentences in writing. But when it comes to speaking French, I'm very slow and nervous. I hope to improve my spoken French and gain some language confidence. I love that you explained the alphabet in the beginning, it makes it so much easier to follow and imagine the general pronunciation of words. My pronunciation has improved so much and I'm only 19 mins in ☺️

You can mix both... it is always better to use all the best tools around... and a real teacher or tutor can help and guide you also. This is what I do with my students... a mix of videos and classic lessons, and it works great :)

I seriously can't believe how in dept these videos are. When it says learn in 5 days, I thought this video was the whole 5 days ! I'm up to the days of the week and it's taken me well over 5 hours to get to this point. I'm really taking my time and repeating it over and over so it can really stick in my head. I also bought a notebook to take notes and study them. Oh man this is gonna take a while ! But I'm determined
