I love this. I was so angry, when I tried to google old places I remember from growing up, and found no results. with this, maybe i can find something!
actually theyve always had it on all maps since net was new then slowly I noticed google earth seem 2 monopolize maps on net then they made the 50s look like the 70s then in 90s I noticed it looked like 80s & NOW ITS AS IF THESE MAP PIX NEVER EXISTED AT ALL YOU CAN NO LONGER VIEW ANY HISTORIC PIX IF YOUR ON GROUND.It was very cool, but thats key word here "WAS" & quite frankly it pisses me off. But please do take notice where our WHITE HOUSE IS COMPLETELY OPEN FOR VIEWING & I DONT MEAN THE STREET YOU CAN ACUALLY GO THROO THE DAM HALLS & ROOM THEY MAY AS WELL ADVERTISE THE DAM FLOOR LAYOUT PLANS. FREE COUNTRY MY ASS! { i must admit ive not checked mapquest 2 see if theyve managed 2 be helpfull in this area}
During WW2 the British had photo reconnaissance Spitfires which would fly over occupied Europe and identify bomb targets or give information in preparation to a battle
THAT works fine, but whenever I go into street view, the date slider at the top left disappears even though I know for sure that previous street view images are available. How can I look at historical imagery from street view?
It's cool that you have historic imagery, but why don't you update Germany, Austria and Switzerland first. Big parts of those countries have images that are older than 10 years (I guess those are historic already XD).
@@WitsEndMum Everything isn't possible, but in reality, the photo of 9/11 claimed to be it is there, turn off 3d building go to 9/2001 or 12/2001 which has smoke.
@PhotoGalleryPictures Check out Warsaw imagery from 1935, then compare it with 1945. I think that's a bit more... well, educative than images of normal city development over the years. Nevertheless you are right, the more updates the better!
for a school project I have to see the changes in my city .... I downloaded google earth and I was impressed, but unfortunately using timeslider I can not go beyond 2007 ... I need to see the changes in my city from 1990 .... please help me. How do I TURN OFF Historical Images on Google earth Pro 7? I know where the buttons are, the problem is they will not stay off. People have been asking this since at least v5 and I have not seen an answer. How do I turn it OFF and KEEP IT OFF. Thank you.
AustrianAnarchy Forget my question. I solved the puzzle. You have to go through and make sure Historical is turned off, then move your icon a little, then save it over, and if you do not want an icon showing, click that option, then see if it took. If the history bar pops up again, go through all that until it works.
