In this lesson, you will learn how to graph points on the coordinate plane (xy plane). We will discuss ordered pairs, input and output tables, and how to take the coordinates of a point and plot the point on a coordinate grid. First, we locate the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate. The point is plotted at the intersection of these x and y coordinates along the x-axis and the y-axis. Once the points are graphed, we can connect the points using a straight line or a smooth curve. This lets us visualize what the data looks like and from this we can infer the real life situation that the graph represents.

Thank you! You are proof that all teachers are not created equally. When you understand the purpose of math, it makes it fun.

I just realized, this works like the multiplication table. 1•3 , 3•5 ect. You connect the two lines for your answer. UPDATE: I also just realized that I said the same thing 3 months ago. Please forgive me. I've had head trauma since I was 6 months old and things do not stick in my head like a normal person. That is why I do the exact same math problems over and over and every time I do them they're still brand new to me. I don't remember ever doing them, but I love math so I'm going to keep on going. I won't delete these messages because if I do I won't remember that I said this and I will just keep putting messages on every time I come to this channel. Again... Please Forgive Me.
