Great video, I’m a John Deere tech in California actually going to the AC class in the next month our company is putting on. The simulator board made it very easy to actually see how the system works. Sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather.

We've got that same trainer at our training center. I always knew the basics of how a/c works, but that tool really made it all click and stuck in my head.

I know a lot about house air conditioning and car air conditioning is pretty much the same. There's two types of metering devices fixed orifice and TXV. That System is using a TXV

Too bad they didn’t add clear pipes on actual machines so you can visually troubleshoot in real life

had a truck that the ac would blow smoke out the vents, dealer said nothing wrong. Im guessing the evaporator was damaged and was leaking gas.

they say you can run that same system on lp gas or is that just a dangers idea and my deepest sympathy on the loss of your grand pa and your friend jake.
