just learned to pull up barspin today, i’ve been at it for like 3 days. The reason i couldn’t do it is becuase i was too scared just to throw the bars, then i just finally manned up and threw them. now i’m working on hop bars
I really think the key here is practice you seemed so surprised but if your practicing 30 min to an hour a day your going to make progress! Super helpful video I really want to learn harder tricks such as this at my local jumps. Thanks great video!
Pro tip: hop higher and throw the bars at the highest point in the jump. This will result in the bike being more stable thus resulting in a faster and more consistent barspin.
@@DrShredder Oh sorry, I didn´t realize you did, but you should only be pinching the seat from right before you throw the bars, not through the whole bunny hop
You should release your non throwing hand and pull it out of the way once you throw the bars. You're kind of doing an x-up but releasing the bar instead of bringing them back to center. You'll be able to throw them faster, and be able to throw at a higher point in your jump making you more stable Edit: just realized this video was from 2 years ago. You've probably gotten great at them by now, but leaving this comment for others
Man you figured it out fast. It took me a lot longer on a 20 inch to get where you are. Once I got a Dj years ago it was easier but the first one felt like winning a small lottery.
I’m new to all this but I just too the rear brake off my dj for barspins but when I do spin the bars the brake locks up I’m thinking I just need longer cables but I’m not sure (I have cables brakes not hydraulic)
Wow, thanks man, i just landed my first barspin today. i did it within 2 hours. These tips really helped. i have had previous barspin practice, but only one other time of actual attempts with jumping, and not manual. u just earned a sub. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I got a proper DJ saddle (and got rid of the temporary, railed, kids saddle) so I can pinch with my knees now, thanks. It was very uncomfortable with the other saddle
bets tip id say, other than hopping higher, is get your catching hand in position. if you are throwing with your left hand, you should be catching with your right. a saw you were trying to catch with you left, and your right wasnt making it back on the bars sometimes
Great video! But actually getting Bunny Hop Bar Spin every try, takes longer than 7 days, it took me 1 year, but now I can do Bunny Hop Barspin in both directions 😊
I sent a bar spin off a real jump today. It was a step up jump and I never got it. I only got halfway around and then was forced to bail. But this vid, I think it will help me
Learn it fly out first makes it so much easier landing them smoothly flat, and also don't just pass the bars throw them like a punch, also learning pull up bars and carrying on Manueling helps alot with catching them right once u can do that just throw them hard and jump high
@@korbiencracknell438 yeah I still mean that u just have to spin them hard, the main thing that slows u down is holding the bar too long slows u down alot
My bars started out about that length then I just kept cutting them down until they felt comfortable; they're at ~715mm now. Good luck learning barspins!!
