Just like in Spanish. We omit the personal pronoun because the conjugation of the verb already tells who is doing.

This is so helpful! I’m practicing my Greek on Duolingo and they miss a lot of this context

thanks for your comment. From what we see from our students coming to Greece to learn Greek with us ; Duolingo might help them learning vocab in Greek, but the grammar part is missing, However, you can not speak Greek without grammar...so maybe you also need to try another method /language training, if you want to proceed with Greek

Πιστεύω ότι το να μαθένεις σε άλλα παιδιά από Αγγλία, Αμερική, Καναδά κ.α. είναι πολύ καλό και η απάντηση από αυτό που ρώτησες είναι για εμένα είμαι από την Ελλάδα, είναι όντος αλήθεια.

Thank you. You make it very simple to learn. I have one question: What is the difference between είναι they are vs. είναι he/she/it is?
@OmiloHellas
@OmiloHellas 5 месяцев назад
Kalispera. Thanks for your comment. This is an irregular verb, so indeed you have two times the same είναι, and you need to know from the context if you speak about he/she/it ,.....or they! Most Greek verbs have clear differences in their conjugation per person singular/plural, but not this verb. Same spelling, same pronunciation for "he/she/it is" , as well as "they are"

Why don't Greeks use latin alphabet?
@OmiloHellas
@OmiloHellas 5 месяцев назад
That is simple! The Romans used latin letters, and the Greeks use Greek letters! (and the Japanese, japanese, the Chinese chinese, etc....) It is not a big effort to learn the Greek alphabet, just 24 letters!! So take it as a benefit, and something exiting to learn :-) Good luck
