Do you have any violet flower memories? I love the smell of violets and used to pick them and put them in a small vase to add their relaxing perfume to the air. Now my grand-treasures pick them to add some magic to my kitchen!
This year I made Violet jelly, which I had never heard of before. It was the most beautiful color I've ever seen, first blue then when I added the lemon juice, according to the recipe, it turned a lovely shade of Pinky lavender. Lots of fun!
@@thewatercolorclassroom-bec7040 I found the jelly on a recipe for scones. Then I Googled the recipe for the jelly. It took four cups of flowers for the jelly. I just pinched the flower off I didn't pick the stems. Originally I really didn't think that was too much flavor to it. So I just stored it for awhile and it seemed to develop a flavor after a week or so. I gave it to a friend of mine she and her husband love the flavor it was very mild. I will definitely do it again next spring. And it certainly does make unique gift for friends.
