HEY BABES!!!!! It's week THREE of our Learn How To Braid Challenge, can you even believe it?! This week we are going to conquer the fishtail braid and I am SO EXCITED!!! I feel like the fishtail braid gets a bad wrap because it looks so intricate and complicated. If I'm being 100% honest with you though, I think it's the easiest braid to learn. Technically there are four pieces you're dealing with but Iike to look at it as only TWO. And once you learn the steps you're like -- for real? That's all there is to it?!
On Instagram we'll be practicing the basic side fishtail braid for a couple days so that you get really familiar with the steps. I want you doing them in your SLEEP!!!! And then we'll move onto dutch fishtail braiding which is just like it sounds, a fishtail braid that incorporates more hair and pops off your head with amazing texture and volume. If you love the dutch braid, you will be obsessed with the dutch fishtail braid.
If you're learning, stop the video after the side fishtail braid. That's all you need to learn for now. Then when the time comes, I'll graduate you to the dutch fishtail braids and the styles will get a lot more fun! You ready?!

Abby Smith you are the first you tube hair tutorials series that I have subscribed. You make everything so easy to understand and I love your slow motion on some steps. I am horrible at doing my hair, and I can actually do your styles and they come out pretty well. Also, my hair is naturally curly, and all the styles work with my hair. I love that you do not use heat, and you don't "push" products as some tutorials do.

Abby Smith, omg thank u sooo much for taking the time to show women like me how to braid our own hair!!! I know it may sound crazy but I see others have the same issues as I do!! I am a new learner to any other type of braiding besides the regular french braid, yet still have never been able to do it from the top of my head or anyone else's for that matter!! Your tutorials are sooo helpful & I'm sooo excited I found someone who does so by simply turning around to give us the same kinda view we need to do so if that makes sense lol You are beautiful, your technique is on point and so much easier for me to learn than ANY OTHER VIDEO/TUTORIALS I'VE EVER WATCHED, and I've watched a whole lot only to be left more confused in the end then when I started!! So THANK YOU SOO SOO MUCH & I'm super excited about learning more and more from none other than you, Abby Smith!!!😘❤ Thank goodness my journey of trying to learn is over & I can ACTUALLY NOW get to it!!❤❤❤

I would love to do the hair challenge but I am literally a hair illiterate I don't know how to do much I try but it doesn't come out the way you guys do it I don't know how to Dutch braid or French braid that limits a lot of hairstyles right there I'm just learning how to fishtail so this video would help me succeed more thank you but do you got any tips on how to help learn the French and Dutch braid on yourself especially with long curly hair that's thick....

Does your Kenra hairspray nozzle get clogged with hairspray and spray in weird directions??? Mine does it all the time and I have to constantly rinse it off so it will spray straight! Ahh lol 🙄😂

I don't know! It's so frustrating lol! Do you keep the top on yours or do you just keep the top off? This is my second bottle of Kenra, (I don't use anything else 😉) and I don't think the first bottle did it.

I’ve gone through 90% of her videos. Mostly to tweak and make the end result cleaner. She has had anything other than clear results!And clearly doesn’t know how to “teach” people. She needs to have the mind frame all people watching aren’t as skilled as she is. I can hardly understand 90/10 of the time! 1/10 from me. Extremely disappointed. 1. SLOW DOWN. YOU SPEAK WITH PRONUNCIATION OR AT AN APPROPRIATE PACE. 2. NEVER EVER TIRN YOUR BACK FROM THE CAMERA. I UNDERSTAND IT COULD GO BACK AND BE EDITED, but if she has to edit voice amps and volumes for a 2 minute. It’s a BIG RED GLAG. 3. She seems nice enough, but unnecessarily “nice” won’t get her anymore.
