Maybe not the most practical controller for a beginner DJ to go out and play gigs with, but it def has good feature to help someone learn the basics of DJing. Good stuff!
Bayardo i have to say, you are awesome! Much respect for what you do, your energy! Your passion for DJing and RU-vid! I’ve spend weeks watching most of your videos! On the road, at home... my wife says I need to take it easy and eventually I’ll get there. I tell her “i wanna do what he does!”. I was born in Colombia and have done gigs for my Colombian family, started Latinoamericano club in Facebook to get all our Latin people here in California San Francisco, to Sacramento dancing and connected! I just got the DDJ-RZX controller and looking forward to Video DJing... I saw your dj name BARR and thought instead of being DJDiego I can be DJ DAPP! My full name right? If your ever around this area please look me up! Send me a friend request to Latinoamericano Club it’s with the pájaro lol. You ever thought about owning your own club? I Heard you said you like playing that salsa, reggaetón, cumbia? Also I love how you focus in quality! Quality subs, PAs, lights just simply professionals and beautiful! DOPE! DOPE! Give you 5 DJ heads!!!
Got it this week, absolutely love it! Having a minor issue with cueing tracks/setting cue points. I only seem to be able to set cue points where the white lines are displayed on Djuced (the markers that show each bar). On some tracks I need to set the cue point in the middle of two bars/white lines - it automatically sets it to the bar before or after where I want it to go, aligning it with the white lines/markers. Seems like a software problem, the controller is incredible! Did you have the same problem? Would be a shame to have to pay for VDJ again without giving Djuced a chance as it seems great! Didn’t have this problem with my MK4 (had it for 8 years and still going strong)! The Inpulse 300 is one hell of a controller once I can hopefully fix this issue!
DJ Barr! Love the videos! I have always been a mobile DJ and I see that you were doing mobile gigs with your old Hercules. When did you start working in clubs and playing on the radio? Just curious. I know you have moved a little bit away from that now I assume. Watching this reminded me of when I got started 8 years ago. Haha those were the days. I started out on the Numark Mixtrack.
As far as practical DJ controllers, the DDJ-SB is obviously a better choice. However, as far as someone to learn on, who's never touched a controller, I could see this being the better option.
