I use serato sampler to sample I'd recommend it it's a lot easier than what it is your doing. I will beat match and put it on time all u do is find your chops...it will even chop it for u if u want
u could look up the key if it's a popular song, or download ur sample and go on a key finder website (works for me not always accurate) or u could jus do it by ear
if you take the bass, pitch it up momentarily to a high octave, and treat it like you're adding a layer to the melody, you can kind of go by ear and see if you like how it sounds before pitching it back down to the low octave.
The bass pattern too. It's like he's showing something just for trial. Look at the bass pattern he put D# instead of E which is the real note. When you try D# trust me it's awful because I tried recreating this because I was so curious about the tutorial and wanted to prove that he is putting different notes or kick patterns to trick the viewers
Thanks for the very informative tutorial. Next time can you please go over what you're listening for in the 'How to Chop' section instead of fast forwarding and dubbing over it? Other than that thank you!!!!!!
Dawg if you’re gonna be in depth BE IN FUCKING DEPTH idk what you’re doing to cut the and move them around you NED TO UNDERSTAND THERES SOME OF US WHO NEVER USED FL STUDIOS
i have never made a beat before. ive got a pc. i couldnt find one beat on fl that showed anyone flip a sample like how i was seein ppl do it on logic pro. i know i can keep it movin with my pc for a bit now. 🔥
Stumbled across this video and I sampled this song for my album recently now I have to see if your beat is good. Only other person I seen that used this was cormega. My record came out fire.
The sampling process doesn't have to be that tedious. Literally just drag the sample in Edison, find the parts you like and at the top right corner drag the section onto the playlist, double click on the sound clip and time stretch it until it matches with the tempo. Such an easier process than making it everything unique and such
