Can you tighten the bottom ring nut directly to the sink bottom instead of bottom of counter. My cutout hole for the drain is approximately a 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 hole (larger than bottom faucet but) so I will need to tighten it up to bottom of sink. Is this okay? Thx!

no silicone on the hole saw cut edges of the board to prevent moisture blowing it ..and no silicone between the tap and board ...ill give it 5 months before the board is blown

Not necessary.To prevent insects getting in to space between sink and board use a 3mm thick rubber gasket cut properly. Incase of damage to the sink it will be difficult to remove.

Install it like that and it wont be good, you have to use silicon to seal the plug, otherwise, it will leek betwine the sink and the countertop.

Normally 82 cm.Then if you have kids even 72 cm will be right so that they don't have trouble using the basin.
