I thought the phrase ベン が あります Would mean " there is a pen" And that “I have a pen“ would sound as: “ 私はペンを持っています". Anyway , this is a good lesson. Thanks a lot.

Love the content and the teaching method. Very engaging and visually helpful. I thing to note. In the gestures video, the gesture for "money" in Japanese is the same in American sign language, but in ASL it means butt hole. Oops. Sumimasen!

I like how at 8:00 they decided to teach us the words we shouldn’t say lol. It’s just them ranting about the rude tourists.😭😂😭 Edit: targeted to Americans lol with the reference to Macdonalds

@violethaye6987
@violethaye6987 5 лет назад
definitely, but you're obviously not going to be fluent. Unless you happen to have a lot of time to study, I'd say 2-3 years would be time most people achieve fluency, while a year will make you proficient

It doesn't make sense... Is this sentence written really like that? Isn't it "伝説は(something)で生まれます" ? If it is, it means "A legend is born at (somewhere or some situation)"

Unremarkably misleading. As an English trainer and coach, learning anything is a marathon. You must commit to life-long learning. There's no "quick way" to doing ANYTHING when it comes to learning. Sounds like an "overnight success" story. That's not how life works. Continual improvement everyday to achieve the goals you've set out on. Stop acting like sprinters, language learners. You need to be a marathon runner.

why those characters are a combination of Hiragana and Katakana? I'm so confused
@中山健太郎-o5k
@中山健太郎-o5k 5 лет назад
Katakana is used for foreign words excepting words from Chinese and other words are written in hiragana and kanji. It's enough for beginners to remember this. Actually, there are some exceptions and the latter words are rarely also written in katakana. However, excepting near native level leaners, no need to know.
