I found it interesting that "wrist" is literally "Hand neck." ankle is "foot neck" and toes are "foot fingers" Makes sense!

Guys I know it can be a bit embarrassing saying the words out loud if you live with other people (especially sharing a room). But even if you whisper, make sure to try it sometimes. This is for at least 3 reasons: 1st, if you quietly mouth words it can sometimes feel like you're saying it right, because it's sort of in your head. But once you really say it out loud (or whisper loudly like I mentioned), then your mouth can get accustomed to the shape of the language. 2nd, if you're actually going to be communicating in Korean, you may at first be confident that you know enough, but then the time comes to speak to others and it's very awkward hearing yourself (it will probably be a little anyways). And 3d, as you've probably heard, practice makes perfect. Or as I like to say, it at least makes a big difference. It feels a little silly, I know ;p I didn't mean for this to be so long heh sorry.

I always learn by finding connections and logic: finger= 손 (hand) + 가락 toe= 발 (foot) + 가락 wrist= 손 (hand) + 목 (neck) ankle= 발 (foot) + 목 (neck) *bonus, this one wasn't in the video: hair= 머리 (head) + 가락
@pirouettee

Sometimes korean people use "머리" to refer to the hair, it's common guess... Some koreans told me that.

I love the patterns in the Korean language! I was so excited the day I figured out the 가락 pattern (hair, fingers, toes). To add to the list, chopsticks are 젓가락. 🙂 According to internet research, 가락 translates as something that is long and slender.

Hi, K Unnie, I watched all your videos & it really help me to pronounce Hangul better. I'll been learning some Hangul from Internet so that I can get around when visiting Korea but romanisation or google translate is different from native korean speakers. I'm planning to visit Seoul next year & it would help me a lot if you can write a series of questions for tourist visiting South Korea like: - Where is the tourist information office? - Where is the closest station / jjimjilbang(찜질방)? - I'm lost? - Do you speak english? - I can only speak a litte bit of Korean? - Can you repeat that? or Please repeat that? - Please speak slowly? (It seems Korean like to speak very fast) - Do you have wifi here? - Can you please give me the password? Furthermore, is it possible to make another series as I would like to taste lots of Korean street food? Questions like? Is this chicken/beef/pork/ fish/ squid? Is this salty? Can you make the food less salty? And also to ask for condiments like Can I have some salt, sugar, pepper etc? Thanks a lot.

@@charlizepieraldi3945 I've been studying off and on so I'm not fluent as of now but I can listen, pronounce, read and comprehend way better than 4 years ago. So basically I can be fluent in less than a year at this at this point. It all depends on how consistently I do it which I will once I get a Rosetta stone in korean. Listening to Korean nearly everyday for 4 years even while asleep with kpop or just running my favorite kpop idol's Instagram lives or RU-vid videos or vlives really gave the sense of immersion without being in South Korea. Listening to it helps you learn faster even if you don't know anything. Your brain is saving repetitive sounds like a baby first learning to speak
